Mi sembra impossibile, visto che la partita a scacchi (Attraverso Lo Specchio) è stata "fusa" con la società delle carte (Le Avventure Di Alice) nel primo film di Burton...
Certo sono molti i personaggi non ancora utilizzati di entrambi i libri. Però spero comunque con tutto il cuore che questo progetto non riesca e non venga realizzato, se il risultato deve essere forzare apposta i rimanenti personaggi in un nuovo film in nome del dio denaro...

Io sto cominciando ad immaginarmi delle oscenità tipo la figlia di Alice che ritorna nel Paese delle Meraviglie...

Se vogliono fare un sequel di un Classico Live Action semmai è il Mago di Oz di Sam Raimi che è da trilogia se farà quei incassi che alla Disney aspettano. Poi rispetto al vecchio Mago di Oz questa volta è il Mago protagonista. Ma Alice è una storia finita e poi come fa ad avere una figlia se manco si sposa? Poi si sa che ha un debole per il Cappellaio
Comunque ormai è certo in casa Disney ogni Primavera faranno uscire un Classico Live Action. Nel 2014 toccherà a Maleficient e nel 2015 a Cenerentola. Qualcosa mi dice che faranno anche La Bella e la Bestia (è già nella testa) , Il Gobbo di Notre Dame e anche la Sirenetta

E' Variety ad annunciare che il regista dei Muppet, al momento impegnato nella post-produzione di The Muppets... Again!, James Bobin, è entrato in trattative con la Walt Disney Pictures per dirigere il sequel di Alice in Wonderland.

Il film di Tim Burton ha incassato, nel 2010, oltre un miliardo di dollari in tutto il mondo e ha dato il via a una serie di adattamenti tratti dalle fiabe, alcuni prodotti dalla stessa DIsney, incluso Maleficent (in produzione).

Questo sequel, scritto ancora una volta dalla sceneggiatrice Linda Woolverton, dovrebbe intitolarsi Into the Looking Glass (Attraverso lo Specchio, come il libro di Lewis Carroll). A produrre il film, ancora una volta, Joe Roth, Suzanne Todd e Jennifer Todd.

Non è chiaro chi del cast tornerà nel film. Alice in Wonderland vedeva tra i protagonisti Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Crispin Glover, Matt Lucas, Alan Rickman, Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen, Timothy Spall, Christopher Lee.

Io mi chiedo se in Disney sappiano quello che fanno... come sapete a me il film ,con tutte le riserve e i limiti che volete, è piaciuto... ma a moltissima altra gente NO. Senza dubbio può essere una ottima occasione per fare qualcosa di meglio, ma ...converrà?

E poi perchè Into e non Through the Looking glass?

Scissor ho letto su Variety che "Into the Looking Glass" è soltanto un Working Title ...E cmq sicuramente l'opera sarà decisamente un ibrido originale, semmai decidessero di titolarlo così almeno sarebbe filologicamente corretto, perchè non si tratterebbe dell'esatta trasposizione di "Through..." (dopotutto anche il primo film si chiamava "Alice in Wonderland" e non come il romanzo di Carrol "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland)...

Resterò curioso di sapere quale sarà il titolo italiano! Certamente un titolo così direbbe davvero poco nulla nel nostro paese, meglio la soluzione "Alice in Wonderland - Attraverso lo Specchio"...Come fosse un franchise alla Pirati dei Caraibi, con sottotitoli annessi ...

Ps: Comunque potremmo rititolare il topic "Into the Looking Glass (aka Alice in Wonderland 2) ?

Clearly Johnny Depp‘s reps are in publicity overdrive following a week of bruising bad press when The Lone Ranger bombed and his star status was questioned. The purpose, of course, is to demonstrate that Johnny is very much in demand. And he should be despite the public rejecting both his Tonto and Barnabas Collins roles recently. On Monday, Depp was tipped in negotiations for the lead in Lionsgate’s Mortdecai, an adaptation of the 1970s mystery novels. Today comes news that Depp has a ‘new’ multi-year first look deal at Disney to develop film projects he can produce there. Just one problem: my insiders say that deal was set and signed back in March, not recently, and just never announced. What is new is that Depp is in final discussions at Disney for the much anticipated Alice In Wonderland sequel with James Bobin (of the recent Muppets reboots) subbing for Tim Burton as director. Johnny’s turn as the Mad Hatter in that classic, of course, made over $1B worldwide grosses for the studio in 2010. Old news is that Depp will reprise Capt Jack Sparrow in Disney’s Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 dated for Summer 2015 and directed by Kon-Tiki filmmakers Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg.

Johnny Depp’s already Disney’s go-to guy for tentpoles. Now the Mouse House has made room for the thesp’s production banner Infinitum Nihil.

Under a new multi-year first-look deal, Depp will develop film projects he can produce at the studio, expanding his relationship with Disney, for whom he will star in the adaptation of the “Into the Woods” musical and a fifth “Pirates of the Caribbean” adventure.

Infinitum Nihil had previously been set up at Warner Bros., where the shingle produced Tim Burton’s “Dark Shadows” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn was instrumental in attracting Depp’s company to the lot, given his relationship with the thesp while the exec ran Warner Bros. Studios.

The deal with Warner Bros. expired in 2011, and the Disney deal was quietly brokered several months ago.

Depp formed the production entity in 2004 with his sister Christi Dembrowski, who serves as president of the company. “Rum Diary” was the first film to be produced through the shingle. FilmDistrict distributed the movie, based on the Hunter S. Thompson book.

Thesp is currently starring as Tonto in Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer’s “The Lone Ranger” and is set to return to the studio’s “Pirates” franchise with a fifth film set for release in 2015. Up first is “Into the Woods,” which Rob Marshall will helm, reuniting him with Depp. An “Alice in Wonderland” sequel is also in development at Disney.

Over the years, Depp has starred in four “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies, “Alice in Wonderland,” “Ed Wood” and “The Lone Ranger” for Disney, which altogether, have grossed over $4.8 billion worldwide.

Depp is currently shooting Alcon Entertainment’s science-fiction actioner “Transcendence” for director Wally Pfister with Warner planning an April 18 release. He’s also in negotiations to star in crime drama “Mortdecai” for Lionsgate with David Koepp directing.

Thesp also recently got into the book business through Infinitum Nihil and a deal with publisher HarperCollins — no surprise given that Depp’s resume includes starring in 18 films that were based on books. First book to be published will be Douglas Brinkley’s “The Unraveled Tales of Bob Dylan,” out in 2015.

The Latin phrase “Infinitum nihil” essentially translates to “Nothing lasts forever.”

Depp sta chiudendo le trattative con la Disney nell'ambito del probabile spostamento degli affari della sua casa di produzione dalla Warner Bros. proprio alla Disney. A dirigere il film dovrebbe esserci James Bobin, regista del film dei Muppet, mentre non sappiamo chi del cast originale, oltre a Mia Wasikowska, tornerà tra Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Crispin Glover, Matt Lucas, Mia Wasikowska, Alan Rickman, Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen, Timothy Spall, Christopher Lee, Paul Whitehouse e Barbara Windsor. Quel che è certo è che con oltre un miliardo in incassi in tutto il mondo, era inevitabile che la Disney desse l'ok al sequel.

Ricordiamo che Depp, sempre per la Disney, tornerà anche a vestire i panni di Jack Sparrow in Pirati dei Caraibi 5, diretto da Joachim Rønning e Espen Sandberg.

Sono sempre più contento che la Disney rifaccia vere Fiabe (anche se con tocco del tutto originale e non tradizionale).
Almeno questa filosofia cara al vecchio Walt è rimasta in tal senso, al contrario del resto (vedi film di supereroi).
