vediamo... cosa ne verrà fuori nel 2015, perché a volte con queste lunghe attese le aspettative sono grandi e poi le delusioni lo sono altrettanto...

ma è vero che volevano fare come con Biancaneve, un'altra casa cinematografica starebbe lavorando ad una "cenerentola rivale" da lanciare nello stesso periodo? o per ora ne è prevista una sola? (e sarebbe anche meglio).

Se ricordo bene in passato avevano annunciato qualcosa ma fino ad ora non se n'è fatto nulla, quind,i a meno di sorprese finali, dovrebbe (per fortuna) essere la sola cenerentola

‘Cinderella’ First Look Image (High-Res), Synopsis

Walt Disney Pictures announced today that principal photography has begun at Pinewood Studios in London, on Cinderella, Disney’s first-ever live action feature inspired by the classic fairy tale.

Directed by Academy Award®-nominee Kenneth Branagh , the film stars Lily James in the title role, Richard Madden as the Prince, Oscar®-winner Cate Blanchett as the infamous stepmother Lady Tremaine, and Academy Award-nominee Helena Bonham Carter as the Fairy Godmother. Holliday Grainger and Sophie McShera play Ella’s stepsisters Anastasia and Drisella, respectively. Stellan Skarsgård and Nonso Anozie play the Arch Grand Duke and the Prince’s loyal friend, the Captain. Tony® Award-winner Derek Jacobi portrays the King.

The timeless story of Cinderella dates back to 1697 when first created by Charles Perrault, although it truly came to life for millions all over the world in 1950 with Walt Disney’s celebrated animated feature.

The story of Cinderella follows the fortunes of young Ella whose merchant father remarries following the tragic death of her mother. Keen to support her loving father, Ella welcomes her new stepmother Lady Tremaine and her daughters Anastasia and Drisella into the family home. But, when Ella’s father suddenly and unexpectedly passes away, she finds herself at the mercy of a jealous and cruel new family. Finally relegated to nothing more than a servant girl covered in ashes, and spitefully renamed Cinderella, Ella could easily begin to lose hope. Yet, despite the cruelty inflicted upon her, Ella is determined to honor her mother’s dying words and to ‘have courage and be kind.’ She will not give in to despair nor despise those who abuse her. And then there is the dashing stranger she meets in the woods. Unaware that he is really a prince, not merely an employee at the Palace, Ella finally feels she has met a kindred soul. It appears as if her fortunes may be about to change when the Palace sends out an open invitation for all maidens to attend a ball, raising Ella’s hopes of once again encountering the charming ‘Kit.’ Alas, her stepmother forbids her to attend and callously rips apart her dress. But, as in all good fairy tales, help is at hand as a kindly beggar woman steps forward and, armed with a pumpkin and a few mice, changes Cinderella’s life forever.

The filmmaking team includes three-time Academy Award-winning production designer Dante Ferretti , three-time Oscar-winning costume designer Sandy Powell, director of photography Haris Zambarloukos and Academy Award-winning editor Martin Walsh. Cinderella is produced by Simon Kinberg, Allison Shearmur, David Barron, from a screenplay by Chris Weitz.

Production on Cinderella will take place at Pinewood Studios and locations throughout England.

Cinderella will be released through Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures on March 13, 2015.

Meravigliosa veu ...Non immaginavo che questo film avrebbe ripreso esattamente gli stessi nomi del cartoon del 1950, questa è davvero una sorpresa (inoltre anche il riferimento al film La leggenda di un amore è evidente, con l'incontro di Cenerentola con uno "sconosciuto" nei boschi). Da notare il dettaglio del nome di protagonista. Se il suo vero nome è Ella, denigrato dalle sorellastre in Cinderella, c'è da scommettere che anche in Italia si manterrà il nome Cinderella, per rispettarne il gioco...Ma lo si potrebbe fare pure con Cenerella! Così come la chiamano gli amici topolini nel film animato . Sarà davvero interessante capire come si muoverà il marketing italiano (io poi credevo che il titolo fosse soltanto un working title, che avrebbe subito un cambiamento nel corso delle riprese...Pare che non sarà così e che Cinderella sia ufficializzato a questo punto...). Veu potreste rinominare il topic in 'Cinderella (Live Action)'? Perchè non sappiamo se "Cenerentola" sarà il nostro titolo, dopotutto anche il topic di Maleficent mantiene il titolo originale, come tutti gli altri topic della sezione news...

La foto è stupenda e il cast stellare ma... sono l'unico a cui il plot non ha detto proprio nulla?
Cioè è davvero fedelissimo alla fiaba, nulla di nuovo. Perchè fare un ennesimo Cenerentola?

chissà se nel merchandise ci saranno le bambole versione live action? Perché questo vestito è nuovo, ma non credo sarà quello del ballo... magari la nuova Cenerentola non avrà lo chignon ma una pettinatura nuova?

Nella versione dei Grimm va al ballo cavallo senza carrozza... secondo me come nella versione "la leggenda di un amore" si vestirà da nobildonna nei suoi incontri con il principe...però ipotizzo.

Sento che stavolta ci sarà la scena dell'abito strappato... leggermente modificata, le sorellastre lo trovano prima che lo possa indossare per qualche screzio successo in precedenza... e finalmente sarà un live action con la fata che la trasforma per il ballo, mi ero un pochino rotto delle versioni "senza magia"...

Io non direi poi fedelissima E' fedele al classico Disney, questo si, ma non proprio alla fiaba, visto che nella storia Cenerentola nè incontra il Principe prima del ballo nè è orfana di entrambi i genitori

secondo me sarà molto simile alla versione lux, anche se con toni più comici visto la presenza di Ruffini... potevano fare un talent show per cercare la protagonista visto che tra le aspiranti mi è sembrato di riconoscere qualcuna reduce da provini di x factor, amici e the voice. chiuso ot

Downton Abbey's Lady Rose dances to a new tune as Cinderella

Lily James has been wowing as she waltzes in the big-screen, live action Cinderella.

Lily has already cut a rug, dancing in Downton Abbey, as the vivacious Lady Rose.

But on the set of the fabled fairytale the actress has been floating around on a sound stage at Pinewood Studios, to the strains of a newly composed waltz by Oscar-nominated composer Patrick Doyle, with a little help from choreographer Rob Ashford.

Lily plays the title role opposite Richard Madden as Prince Charming and Cate Blanchett as her not entirely wicked stepmother (she’s more resentful and miffed than out-and-out evil).

Helena Bonham Carter, with a milk-white perm and gown to match, is the fairy godmother. And Holliday Grainger and Sophie McShera play Cinder-ella’s stepsisters.

Doyle’s score for the Disney movie is going to have audiences humming and dah-dah-dahing happily ever after. Listening to it as I watched a ballroom scene, where Lily and Richard were all but flying, I was unable to stop myself bobbing from side to side in time with the music. I looked around and spotted several burly crewmen swaying, too.

Doyle said the instructions from Kenneth Branagh, the film’s director, were for the waltz to be simple and effective.

‘Ken gave me very succinct and intelligent notes about the mood and the atmosphere he anticipates for the film, but there was a great emphasis on romance,’ Patrick said, when we chatted on the famed 007 sound stage at Pinewood.

‘The complete sparkle and magic had to be present in the simpleness of the melodies, so that the whole sway of that waltz lends itself to romance.’

I was hearing the full orchestrated piece, complete with violins and cellos, but Doyle said the idea is that a child should be able to pick out the tune on a piano with one finger.

He worked on the composition in France, and sent through a rough version, which ended up being used during the screen tests for Cinderella.

The film continues shooting, and post production will take up the first half of next year. However, audiences won’t be able to see the finished picture till Easter 2015.

But you can hear Doyle’s music well before then (though nothing from Cinderella). On December 1, there will be a special Barbican concert to celebrate the composer’s 60th birthday.

The London Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Frank Strobel, will perform a selection from the scores Doyle wrote for the feature films Henry V, Much Ado About Nothing, Frankenstein, Sense & Sensibility, Hamlet, Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, Calendar Girls, Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, Brave and the forthcoming action-thriller Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.
