Andy Fickman has set the Walt Disney Pictures comedy "You Again" as his next directing project.

Fickman, who most recently directed "Race to Witch Mountain," is casting the female-driven comedy and will begin production in Los Angeles in late summer.

Fickman is producing with Eric Tannenbaum and John J. Strauss. "You Again" will be his third consecutive film for the studio, following "Race" and Dwayne Johnson starrer "The Game Plan."

"You Again" solidified as the next film for Fickman as he percolates several others under Oops Doughnuts, the Disney-based shingle he started with partner Betsy Sullenger, who'll be co-producer on "You Again."

Paramount just acquired the Sarah Mlynowski young adult novel "Gimme a Call" for Fickman (Daily Variety, March 23), and Disney attached him to direct an adaptation of "Monster Attack Network" (Daily Variety, March 15).

Fickman and Sullenger are also developing the stage project "Heathers: The Musical," based on the Dan Waters-scripted cult film. Fickman is aligned with the RKO Pictures/Twisted Pictures genre company Roseblood to oversee remakes of four horror pics from the RKO library, including 1943's "I Walked With a Zombie."

Svelata la protagonista e la trama del film... sembra interessante!

Kristen Bell has been cast as the lead in Disney's comedy "You Again," to be helmed by Andy Fickman.

Actress will play a girl who's horrified to find that her brother is marrying the very girl who made her life a living hell in high school.

Pic starts lensing in the summer. Dave Johnson and Moe Jelline penned the script.

"You Again" will be Fickman's follow-up to "Race to Witch Mountain" and will be his third consecutive film for the Mouse House, following "Race" and "The Game Plan."

Fickman is producing with Eric Tannenbaum and John J. Strauss through his Oops Doughnuts shingle, which he started with Betsy Sullenger, who will be a co-producer.

Disney has been keen on Bell since tapping her to star in Touchstone's romantic comedy "When in Rome" alongside Josh Duhamel and Dax Shepard. It unspools in August.

Bell provides a regular voiceover on the CW's "Gossip Girl" and was seen on NBC's "Heroes." Since last year's "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," she's also landed a co-starring role in the Universal comedy "Couple's Retreat," due out in October, and is the lead female voice in the animated pic "Astro Boy," also out that month.

Jamie Lee Curtis, Kristin Chenoweth, Odette Yustman, Victor Garber and Betty White have joined the cast of the Disney comedy You Again. They join Kristen Bell and Sigourney Weaver in the Andy Fickman-directed film.

The storyline centers on a woman (Bell) who finds out that her brother is planning to marry the girl who made her high school years a living hell and tries to convince him that his fiancee is not the nice girl she pretends to be.

Curtis and Garber will play Bell's parents, and White will play her grandmother. (Weaver is her rich Aunt Ramona.) Chenoweth plays "a wedding extraordinator." Yustman plays Bell's nemesis.

Moe Jelline wrote the screenplay for the film, which starts shooting in late summer in Los Angeles.

E' uscito il trailer. Ancora una volta fortissima Betty White, speriamo che attiri un po' di gente che l'ha vista in Ricatto d'amore. Sembra anche divertente il confronto tra Jamie Lee Curtis e Sigourney Weaver, due 'vecchiette' che litigano come delle liceali.
Il trailer è rivolto soprattutto al pubblico femminile.

Ennesimo buco nell'acqua per la Touchstone .You Again floppa al botteghino americano dove invece trionfa a sorpresa Oliver Stone con Wall Street.Se così fosse per la Fox è il primo successo del 2010!!!! Non brinda nemmeno Zack Snyder e la Warner con "Il regno dei guardiani" .
You Again e sotto i 3 milioni di dollari mentre il Regno dei Guardiani ne ha incassati 5 contro Stone che ne ha incassati 8 nella prima giornata!!!!Per la costola principale della Disney è dura salvarsi.

Quoto tutto. Non si pretendeva un successo alla the Proposal, ma 8 milioni d'esordio sono davvero pochi. Bisogna notare che il week-end è stato piuttosto avaro.

E' andato storto che la gente vuole originalità nelle commedie e questi soggetti son stati visti mille volte. Poco importa che c'è la Curtis o la White che son bravissime... per non parlare della Bell che anche con la Fontana dell'Amore era andata male al botteghino. Forse non tira la platea...
