Dopo Malefica ecco Crudelia
info qui http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-visi...-cruella-639169 Disney Preps Live-Action Cruella de Vil Film (Exclusive) UPDATED: The writer for the studio's live-action "Cinderella" has been hired to pen the script for what is being titled "Cruella." After making a movie centered on Maleficent, the villainess from Sleeping Beauty, Disney is setting its sights on another bad lady: Cruella de Vil. Aline Brosh McKenna has been hired to pen Cruella, which will bring the dog-fur-loving fashionista from 101 Dalmatians into a live-action feature to be produced by Andrew Gunn, who produced Sky High and Bedtime Stories for the studio. McKenna will also produce. De Vil first appeared in Dodie Smith's 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians but became a Disney icon with the 1961 animated movie. And it's not the character's first incarnation in a live-action feature. Glenn Close memorably played the character in 1996's 101 Dalmatians and the 2000 sequel, 102 Dalmatians. In fact, Close is in involved with Cruella, acting as an executive producer. Sadly, the studio is keeping its latest take on the character locked in the dog pound. Cruella would be Disney's latest live-action take on one of its classic animated films. In addition to Alice and Maleficent, Disney is making Cinderella, which just began principal photography with Kenneth Branagh in the director's chair. McKenna already worked for Disney by penning the Cinderella script. The screenwriter, who may be best-known for adapting The Devil Wears Prada, also worked on Annie, which is now casting. She is repped by CAA. Messaggio modificato da Daydreamer il 23/3/2021, 20:10 |

News:
Craig Gillespie Dal sito The GWW: EMMA STONE’S ‘CRUELLA’ ENLISTS COSTUME DESIGNER JENNY BEAVAN (‘MAD MAX: FURY ROAD’, ‘CHRISTOPHER ROBIN’) ‘Cruella,’ another one of Disney’s live-action reimaginings, now has costume designer Jenny Beavan onboard. The film is a different take on the ‘101 Dalmations’ franchise, and will star Emma Stone as the titular character. Last year, Beavan was part of two Disney films, with ‘Christopher Robin’ and ‘The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.’ Other films include the Guy Ritchie ‘Sherlock Holmes’ films, Tom Hooper’s ‘The King’s Speech,’ and George Miller’s ‘Mad Max: Fury Road.’ Next, she has Stephen Gaghan’s ‘The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle,’ releasing January 17, 2020, and Daniel Espinosa’s ‘Morbius,’ releasing July 31, 2020. Emma Thompson (‘Saving Mr. Banks,’ ‘Beauty and the Beast’) is in early talks to play the film’s antagonist. If she signs, she will portray the Baroness, who is pivotal to Cruella’s rise as the classic Disney villain. Meanwhile, Dev Patel (‘The Newsroom,’ ‘Lion’) is circling the role of “Raj” aka Roger, the owner of Pongo, who helps Roger meet and fall in love with his wife Anita. Additionally, there are some casting details on the duo that serve as Cruella’s henchman. An African American actor may fill the role of Jasper, while his partner Horace will likely be Caucasian. Moreover, Craig Gillespie (‘Lars and the Real Girl,’ ‘I, Tonya’) will serve as director. He replaces Alex Timbers (‘Mozart in the Jungle,’ ‘John Mulaney: Kid Gorgeous at Radio City’), who was part of the film for awhile, but had to depart due to scheduling issues. Tony McNamara (‘Ashby,’ ‘The Favourite’) wrote the recent draft of the screenplay. The previous draft was from Dana Fox (‘How to be Single,’ ‘Isn’t It Romantic’). The logline is below: ‘Estella (Stone), before she becomes Cruella De Vil, lives on the streets of 1980’s London with other hoodlums, where we learn the real origins behind Estella’s hatred of Dalmatians.” Further, filming will begin July 9th and wrap this November in London, England. ‘Cruella’ will release on December 23, 2020. |
