Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has confirmed that discussions are already in the works to have Scarlett Johansson reprise her role as Natasha Romanoff in a Black Widow spinoff film, though the project will take a backburner while The Avengers is in development.

"We've already started discussions with Scarlett about the idea of a solo movie and have begun putting together concepts," said Feige in a press conference for the Iron Man 2 Blu-ray/DVD today, "but 'The Avengers' comes first."

Johansson is reprising her role as the character in the ensemble film, heading into production with Joss Whedon at the helm and planned for a summer 2012 release.

Lo spero proprio e spero che sia buono...le donne comic sono state poco sfruttate o addirittura rovinate finora...vedasi Catwoman /Halle Berry e Elektra /Jennifer Garner...Almeno la Johannson è stata brava in Iron Man 2, c'è da aspettarsi buone cose...(ps: ma io voglio WONDER WOMAN per dinci!!!)

Wonder Woman non è della Marvel e non c'entra niente con la Disney.
Certamente la Vedova Nera (se si farà) sarà distribuita da Disney, perchè tutti i titoli Marvel a partire dal 2013 saranno distribuiti con il logo Touchstone.

Ecco una novità che riguarda il film sulla Vedova Nera... o meglio è un'intervista al regista-scrittore David Hayter che tempo fa aveva in progetto un film sulla Vedova Nera che però è stato poi cancellato. David Hayter racconta come aveva concepito il film.

Ricordiamo che un nuovo film sulla Vedova Nera è tra i possibili film futuri della Marvel.

X-Men & X2 scribe, David Hayter, who was signed on to write & direct a comic book adaptation of Marvel's Black Widow, once again explains what the solo film could've been!

David Hayter's writing credits include X-Men and it's sequel, Watchmen, and back in 2004, a solo cinematic adaptation of Marvel's 'Black Widow.' And he recently elaborated with FemPop on what the solo flick could've been, other than his directional debut. While actress Scarlett Johansson is filling the character's heels in The Avengers, read below as Hayter essentially rehashes on his film's influences and why the movie didn't work out.

What I tried to do was use the backdrop of the splintered Soviet Empire – a lawless insane asylum with four hundred some odd nuclear missile silos. It was all about loose nukes, and I felt it was very timely and very cool. Unfortunately, as I was coming up on the final draft, a number of female vigilante movies came out. We had Tomb Raider and Kill Bill, which were the ones that worked, but then we had BloodRayne and Ultraviolet and Aeon Flux. Aeon Flux didn’t open well, and three days after it opened, the studio said, “We don’t think it’s time to do this movie.” I accepted their logic in terms of the saturation of the marketplace, but it was pretty painful. I had not only invested a lot of time in that movie, but I had also named my daughter, who was born in that time period Natasha – after the lead character in Black Widow. I named my daughter after a movie that I wasn’t working on anymore.

David Hayter's draft for The Black Widow flick is still roaming the net, so with a little search, I'm sure you can pick it up. But anyhow, Marvel Studios have expressed recent interest in green-lighting a solo Scarlett Johansson-starrer solo film. However, considering theres also been "talk" for a solo Jeremy Renner-starrer 'Hawkeye' movie, I say throw the two together. I could see the film paying homage to the various comics where the two paired up as a dynamic duo. What do you think?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two actors of this summer’s big-budget film, Avengers, are really eager about solo films of their own.

When asked how eager the two of them were to start spinoff films, Ruffalo said, "How ready? I'm not ready." Johansson agreed, "I'm going to need a few months to get into that suit for sure."

Johansson, however, countered that she enjoys the group effort she gets to contribute to in The Avengers. "But it's fun when we all do it together," she said. "I think from now on, now that the bar is set with The Avengers, it would be strange if we didn't call on one another in some way." Ruffalo observed, "We've set predecent now. Now there are all of these new friends to help us now."

e Katniss...Best of all , scherzi a parte, è proprio vero...non faccio altro che pensarlo, sperando che prima o poi Wonder Woman (ma è più auspicabile Miss Marvel) facciano il miracolo...Black Widow è interessante in quanto unica femmina del gruppo, non come supereroina, a parte il fatto che non lo è quasi neanche...cmq aspetto in settimana di giudicarla in The Avengers...(cmq Emily Blunt sarebbe stata meglio, e lo dice uno che ama Scarlett Jo)

A noi piacerebbe un film sulla Vedova Nera e anche uno su Mrs Marvel. Sarebbe pure carino il film sulle Lady Liberators, con tutte le eroine Marvel, anche se purtroppo non potrebbero mettere Jean Grey e Tempesta perchè i diritti sono della Fox.

Noi troviamo che Scarlett sia un'ottima Vedova Nera, anche se subito ci siamo dovuti abituare a Scarlett rossa. Alla premiere a Londra e a Roma Scarlett era bellissima!

Sì a noi piacerebbe anche un film su di lei, oltre che sulla Vedova Nera. Comunque più che a Wonder Woman, Miss Marvel è la versione Marveliana di Supergirl.
Di eroine ci piacerebbe vedere nei film della Marvel anche Wasp, Scarlett Witch e She-Hulk.
Poi ovvio un sogno sarebbe anche rendere giustizia a Jean Grey che nel'ultimo film degli X-Men hanno reso una schizofrenica quando la saga di Fenice e Fenice Nera è una delle storie più belle dell'Universo Marvel.

Ecco,questa è una cosa da fare assolutamente... Jean Grey è una delle mie eroine preferite (insieme a Tempesta).

Jean Grey...se penso alle enormi aspettative su di lei...avremmo potuto avere un epilogo superlativo se quello stupido di Singer non avesse voluto mollare gli X-Men per Superman ...sono talmente patetico che in più di un'occasione ho rivisto Conflitto Finale, sperando di ricredermi e di trovarlo un giorno un bel film...Non è successo, troppo deluso su Jean Grey/Fenice e la sua storia buttata via così ( se poi ripenso a Fenomeno e altri personaggi ridotti a mere statuine incolori...mmmm sono dolori!!! )

Sì ragazzi siamo d'accordo con voi. A noi è piaciuta molto la saga di Fenice e Fenice Nera come è stata rappresentata nei fumetti e nei cartoni animati. Nel film non ci è piaciuto che hanno fatto che Fenice e Fenice Nera non era un'entità cosmica, ma era la doppia personalità pazza di Jean. L'abbiamo trovata una cosa proprio mal fatta. E pensare che con quella saga avrebbero potuto fare un bellissimo blockbuster supereroistico-fantascientifico-fantasy come era nei fumetti e inserire tutta la saga cosmica, il Cristallo M'Kraan, gli Starjammers, ecc. Invece è risultato una boiata la soluzione che hanno adottato nel film con Jean semplicemente pazza e la storia troppo realistica.
Quindi anche a noi piacerebbe che in un domani rilanciassero questa saga come doveva essere fatta cioè molto più fedele ai fumetti e ai cartoni.

E serve un po' di giustizia anche per la coppia Wolverine-Jean u.u E' sicuramente una delle coppie che preferisco,mi fanno veramente impazzire,ma nei film si vede così poco...

Mi piacerebbe un sacco anche un film su Laura Kinney/X-23, anche se forse sarebbe un po' forte... ma lei è un personaggio che adoro!

Beh si Jessica Drew è davvero un ottimo soggetto per un film. Poi si può giocare anche sul fatto che appartiene a diverse organizzazioni...lo Shield, l'Hydra...e a diverse squadre dei Vendicatori...si, verrebbe fuori un bel film...magari un pò simile alla serie tv Alias...però in definitiva sarebbe un bel film!

Sulla Gatta Nera ho delle riserve. Insomma non c'è molto da raccontare....deve esserci il Ragno nel suo film!! Quindi dovrà essere presentata nei prossimi sequel di Spidey....

Visto ieri The Avengers...Mi sono ricreduto, la Vedova Nera è fighissima, davvero hanno fatto di lei un personaggio mozzafiato in Avengers, mentre in Iron Man 2 mi sembrava poco più della solita gattamorta...Qui il regista ha tirato fuori un potenziale pazzesco! Spero si faccia un film prequel sulle sue origini, sul suo coinvolgimento con Clint/Occhio di Falco e sulla già mitica Battaglia di Budapest!! Brava Scarlett!

Vedova Nera (Scarlett Johansson) è ormai un’aficionada dei film Marvel: ha fatto la sua apparizione in Iron Man 2, ha rubato la scena in The Avengers e in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, la vedremo tra pochi giorni in Avengers: Age of Ultron e tornerà in Captain America: Civil War affiancando qualche altro Vendicatore. Ma è una supereroina che ancora non ha avuto un film tutto suo, come è accaduto ad Iron Man, Captain America e Thor, e come potrebbe accadere a Hulk.

Nella Fase 3, il cui listino è stato rilasciato dalla Marvel, non è previsto un cinecomic a lei dedicato, per cui Scarlett Johansson è stata interpellata a riguardo durante una conferenza stampa per Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Naturalmente ne ho parlato con Kevin [Feige]. Ne abbiamo già discusso a lungo, e credo che anche lui voglia vederne uno. Credo di poter parlare anche a suo nome, ma questo è tutto per il momento. Il personaggio è utilizzato in maniera molto intelligente in questo universo, anche se io e Kevin condividiamo la stessa visione in merito a quella che potrebbe essere una serie di film a se stante.

Dopo il successo di Lucy, l’attrice sarebbe perfettamente in grado di reggere un film solo sulle sue spalle.

Credo ci sia spazio per un film indipendente. Il personaggio ha una storia di origini molto ricca; io sono stata fortunata ad aver avuto la possibilità di costruire un personaggio con un mucchio di strati per poi iniziare a toglierne uno dopo l’altro. Ho avuto la possibilità di crescere con il personaggio mentre il personaggio cresceva con me.

L’attrice ha confermato che, dopo esser entrata nel franchise di Captain America, il suo contratto è stato rinegoziato, e che continua ad evolvere in base al desiderio dei fan.

A giudicare dalle sue parole, comunque, sembra che il suo addio all’Universo Cinematografico Marvel sia piuttosto lontano.

Con la Marvel ho un ottimo rapporto. La cosa da apprezzare è che nessuno di loro vuole constringerci a lavorare a questi film se non c’è voglia da parte nostra. Quindi anche se sei sotto contratto non devi sentirti in alcun modo bloccato da manette dorate. Io senza dubbio continuerò a esserci, e questo perchè c’è stato un ottimo riscontro. E poi, insomma, è sempre bello tornare in quella tuta aderente.

L'attore ha affermato che vorrebbe vedere un film sulla Vedova Nera: "E' in giro dal giorno 'uno'. Ed è interpretata magistralmente da Scarlett Johansson. Sarebbe tragico ed un'occasione sprecata se non le dessero un film come per altri personaggi.".
Parlando, invece, degli Inumani, Gregg ha chiarito che quelli introdotti nel suo serial saranno quasi sicuramente slegati da quelli cinematografici che, ovviamente, saranno ambientati in un altro luogo: "Il regista e gli sceneggiatori di Inumani avranno libertà sul cosa fare con quella pellicola. Based on what we've seen in the Captain America: Civil War set photos, and the trailer, Black Widow looks to have a much bigger role than she did in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Kevin Feige della Marvel dice che vorrebbe un film di "Black Widow", ma probabilmente non accadrà prima del 2020.

Molti fan sono rimasti delusi nell'apprendere che Captain Marvel sarà la prima avventura da solista per un supereroe al femminile prodotta da Marvel Studios e Disney, questo solo perché Black Widow sembrava più meritevole di avere la precedenza e un suo film da protagonista assoluta. Comunque finchè c'è Marvel c'è speranza e a quanto pare il personaggio di Scarlett Johansson fa parte dello schema tracciato da Marvel Studios e se tutto va secondo i piani, Black Widow dovrebbe avere il proprio film da solista in un prossimo futuro, anche se molto probabilmente ciò non accadrà all'interno della "Fase 3".

Non vi è dubbio che la "Vedova Nera" sia uno dei personaggi più interessanti attualmente presenti nell'Universo Cinematografico Marvel e mentre abbiamo avuto un assaggio del suo passato in Avengers: Age of Ultron, di certo c'è molto di più da raccontare. Finora il personaggio nonostante abbia giocato il ruolo di fascinosa e letale "spalla" di Captain America e Iron Man, sarà anche nell'imminente Captain America: Civil War, rimane uno dei personaggi più amati e Kevin Feige, boss di Marvel Studios, questo lo sa molto bene e sostiene che un film di Black Widow è ancora possibile.

Black Widow è stata introdotta nel 2010 in Iron Man 2 per poi tornare in The Avengers nel 2012 seguito da un ruolo di co-protagonista in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Il personaggio ha poi fatto la sua ultima apparizione in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Lei è uno dei pochi Vendicatori che non ha superpoteri, il che la rende ancora più vulnerabile e divertente da esplorare, ma nel corso di ben tre fasi la sua avventura da solista non è riuscita a concretizzarsi, con i fan che continuano a sostenere a gran voce l'eroina.

Parlando alla stampa per promuovere Captain America: Civil War, Kevin Feige ha discusso di alcuni dei piani di Marvel Studios dopo Avengers: Infinity War e ancora una volta ha ribadito la possibilità concreta di un film con protagonista Black Widow.

Although there have been rumors over the years, we still don't have anything solid on Marvel's plans for a solo Black Widow movie. It could well be the case that Kevin Feige and co. feel the character works better supporting the likes of Captain America and Iron Man, but according to a poll conducted by Fandango for USA Today, fans simply aren't going to be happy with that for too much longer.

The public were asked to choose who they'd most like to see star in a standalone adventure next. Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanov came out with 48% of the votes, followed by Vision with 15% , then Falcon (12%), Hawkeye (10%), War Machine (8%) and Scarlet Witch (7%).

Along with Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton, Romanov is the only original team member without her own solo movie. That along with the fact that she frequently steals scenes from some of the "bigger" characters, and it makes sense that the enigmatic agent would top a poll like this.

Said poll also saw Cap beat Iron Man in the preferred solo movie outing stakes 57% to 43% - but will he win where it counts in Marvel's Captain America: Civil War? Find out this weekend.

The brothers' favorite superhero growing up was Spider-Man, so they were delighted to be able to integrate him into the MCU - but their second favorite, Wolverine, might prove a bit more difficult. On the more obscure character spectrum, they'd also fancy a crack at Groo the Wanderer, and the Great Lakes Avengers.

Hey, these days anything seems possible!

Following the recent Fandango poll, The Russos were also quizzed about the possibility of ever seeing a solo outing for Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow. From the sounds of their response they reckon it will happen sooner or later, it's just a matter of getting in on the schedule.

ANTHONY RUSSO: It’s a no-brainer, right?

JOE RUSSO: I don’t think [it’ll take] much. I think it’s just a function of where on the slate it goes. She’s a bad-ass.

That Black Widow movie is a lot more likely to happen than Logan suiting up with The Avengers - but then again, if we were told Spider-Man would be doing just that only a couple of years ago we'd never have believed it.

That's great news, but it doesn't sound as if this movie will be released until Phase 4 unfortunately.

When Joss Whedon finished up with Avengers: Age of Ultron he was done, need time away from superheroes… you know, he was tired. Turns out that if someone *cough* Kevin Feige *cough* asked him if he wanted to direct a Black Widow solo movie, he would say yes… or as he put it “Duh”.

Whedon told IGN that he likes the fact she is a grounded character and not necessarily a superhero.

I think that character really is very interesting and very earthbound, so it’s the kind of action that I got to do less of with somebody like Thor or The Vision. When you get into your ‘Superman’ territory it’s harder to maintain the gritty action that the Russo brothers do so brilliantly and she’s got that kind of thing and [you can] really do a spy thriller. Like really do a good, paranoid, ‘John le Carré on crack’ sort of thing. That would be really fun.

He also enjoys working with the actress who plays the character.

Scarlett Johansson is just delightful. She works really hard but she just spends most of her time cracking me up, so it would be a fun shoot.

So, lets make this happen (I’m looking at you Feige).

Durante la promozione di Ghost in the Shell, Scarlett Johansson è tornata a parlare del film in solitario dedicato a Vedova Nera.

L’attrice ha ammesso di aver già discusso della possibilità con Kevin Feige e di essere:

Marvel Studios Finally Moves Forward With ‘Black Widow’ Movie

TheWrap reports that Marvel is moving forward with their Black Widow solo film starring Scarlett Johansson. They say screenwriter Jac Schaeffer (Nasty Women) has been tapped to write the film’s script, an MCU movie fans have been craving for years.

Both Kevin Feige and Scarlett had been teasing the film was on the horizon over the last year or so. This seemingly came to head when she was named the highest-grossing actress of all-time back in the summer of 2016.

Here’s what Kevin had to say about a Black Widow movie in May of 2016 when speaking with Deadline.

“I would say certainly the one creatively and emotionally that we are most committing to doing is Black Widow.”

“We think she’s an amazing character. We think Scarlett Johansson’s portrayal of her is amazing. She’s a lead Avenger and has amazing stories in her own right to tell that we think would be fun to turn into a standalone franchise.”

A solo film had been first in the works at Marvel going back to 2004, where David Hayter (X-Men 2, Watchmen) and Nicole Perlman (Guardians of The Galaxy, Captain Marvel) had been developing a script for Lionsgate but was ultimately killed. It remains to be seen if they’ll be taking any cues from that incarnation.

Scarlett Johansson first mentioned a desire for a solo film all the way back in 2009 and had recently revealed to Variety she has had conversations about the film with the studio. Suggesting the Black Widow movie could focus on the Widow Program and its setting could be in Russia.

” I think there’s a lot of opportunity to mine that storyline. She’s got a really rich origins story. There’s a lot of places you can go — you can bring it back to Russia. You could explore the Widow program. There’s all kinds of stuff that you could do with it. You could really uncover the identity of who this person is, where she comes from and where she’s part of.”

These comments seemingly were foreshadowing Widow having a spot in Phase Four, as we long expected.

A director has yet to be named but previously Joss Whedon, Russo Brothers, and Taika Waititi have suggested they’d want a crack at the film. However, we do suspect Marvel will be eyeing ladies to direct.

Marvel has yet to announce the project is officially in the works but might be already eyeing a release in 2020. The studio has set multiple release dates for unknown titles in 2020 and it‘s possible that their 2020 MCU lineup “could” look like this.

Finally, it was revealed this week that Marvel Studios would be pursuing a solo Black Widow film with the hiring of Nasty Women screenwriter Jac Schaeffer.

There’s also talk that Scarlett Johansson will be meeting with Jac soon to talk about the film’s script and story, giving the impression that Scarlett has some creative say with the project. Rightly so, since she’s inhabited this character over seven films with multiple directors.

But who will end up directing it?

I find it’s a bit more helpful to suggest realistic names than someone who has publicly stated they’re not into the idea of directing superhero/fantasy films, like a Katheryn Bigelow (stated on HBO’s Real Time years ago).

Despite having been offered multiple comic book projects Bigelow has shown zero interest.

Personally, I’d like to see writer-director Lynne Ramsay given a call by Marvel.

Ramsay is known for her stunningly beautiful/creepy thrillers such as We Need To Talk About Kevin (starring two MCU alumni Tilda Swinton and John C. Reilly) and the upcoming You Were Never Really Here (starring former Doctor Strange and Bruce Banner candidate Joaquin Phoenix). The tone of her films I think many agree would fit nicely into an action-packed and dark espionage film.

We’ve seen Marvel take a look at indie and prestige directors more recently with Ryan Coogler on Black Panther, Taika Waititi on Thor: Ragnarok, and Ryan Fleck/Anna Boden for their upcoming Captain Marvel movie.

I’m sure many others will be suggested over the next couple of months but we think Lynne Ramsay could bring something really special to the project.

Black Widow doesn’t have a release date but it’s expected to drop sometime in 2020.

There’s been plenty of buzz around the film’s plot, including thought from Johannson herself; now, thanks to our trusty source, we have word on the film’s premise, including when and where we will catch up with Natasha Romanoff.

If you’ve been following my work, both here and at my prior gig, you’ve probably put together a pretty good idea about what to expect from this film. Late last year, I was told that this film would take place in the past; today, that was confirmed by a second source. The film will find Natasha living in the United States 15 years after the fall of the Soviet Union! That timeline places the film firmly in the mid-2000s, meaning we’ll meet up with Nat prior to the events of Iron Man 2. That time frame opens up plenty of options, and while many fans seem to want a Black Widow/Hawkeye team up in Budapest, we’ve been told that early discussions about the film involved Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier. Stan seemed to have some ideas about a potential Black Widow film recently and their unique comic book history could make for a VERY interesting adaptation.

Though no director has been officially attached to the film, we can report that Brad Winderbaum will serve as the film’s executive producer, following his time in that role on Thor: Ragnarok. While rumors place the film on Marvel Studios slate of 2020 films, we were unable to confirm that release date.

They include three names meeting with Marvel such as French-Turkish director Deniz Gamze Erguven (Kings, Mustang), Chloe Zhao (The Rider) and Amma Asante (A United Kingdom). THR alludes many more are in the mix and this is by no means a shortlist.

Plot rumors posted by our friends over at ThatHashtagShow suggest the film could be a prequel taking place before Iron Man. However, these are unconfirmed at the moment and I personally hope that’s not the direction Black Widow is going (suggests digital de-aging or recasting of Johansson).

Although, I do like the idea of Bucky working alongside Nat in a post-Avengers 4 setting.

Marvel has yet to reveal when Widow will shoot/release but we suspect that summer/fall 2019 is a good bet for filming to begin with it landing the previous set July 31st, 2020 relase date.

Stando a quanto riportato da Il Saviglianese, le riprese del prossimo dei film dei Marvel Studios toccheranno ancora una volta l’Italia. Dopo Avengers: Age of Ultron e Spider-Man: Far From Home (in collaborazione con Sony), questa volta a ospitare la produzione dovrebbe esserci il Piemonte.
Secondo il giornale il castello e il centro storico di Racconigi, in provincia di Cuneo, faranno da sfondo ad alcune scene per un kolossal Marvel che sarà girato tra aprile e maggio 2019. “La storia dovrebbe essere ambientata negli anni della prima guerra mondiale – si legge – con una rivisitazione fantastica dell’attentato di Sarajevo“.
Salvo sorprese, i prossimi film a partire della Fase 4 dell’Universo Marvel saranno Vedova Nera e Gli Eterni, perciò dovrebbe trattarsi di uno di questi progetti.
Il Saviglianese conferma che il regista (o la regista nel caso di Vedova Nera) ha già fatto un sopralluogo in città.
In attesa di aggiornamenti vi invitiamo comunque a prendere la notizia con cautela.

Today in Hall H at Comic-Con International in San Diego, Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige officially announced the lineup of feature films for the next two years and shared exciting new information on the brand-new Marvel Studios’ series created exclusively for Disney+, Disney’s upcoming streaming service launching in the U.S. on November 12.

Feige officially announced the feature film Marvel Studios' Black Widow, which is slated for a May 1, 2020 release in U.S. theaters, making it the first film of Phase Four to hit the big screen.

Feige surprised the audience with the first footage from Black Widow, which is currently in production. The film is directed by Cate Shortland who was on hand to greet the Hall H audience along with Scarlett Johansson, reprising her role of Natasha Romanoff, as well as newcomers to the Marvel Cinematic Universe David Harbour as Alexei aka The Red Guardian, Florence Pugh as Yelena, O-T Fagbenle as Mason, and Rachel Weisz as Melina.

All’inizio, il Guardiano Rosso (David Harbour) fatica a indossare la sua vecchia uniforme. L’eroe, ormai in pensione, si dirige verso il tavolo che abbiamo visto nel trailer, dove incontra Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) e l’ex spia Melina (Rachel Weisz). Melina gli dice che non ha lavato il costume e che “ha un odore fantastico”. “Hai un aspetto meraviglioso,” aggiunge. Sembra che lei sia una sorta di madre in questa famiglia surrogata, e il Guardiano sembra lieto di questa sorta di riunione di famiglia. “Visto che siamo una finta famiglia, non penso che potremo utilizzare quel termine,” continua Melina, e Natasha e Yelena, le “figlie”, sono d’accordo. “Sei bella oggi come lo eri il giorno del nostro finto matrimonio,” la rassicura il Guardiano. “E tu hai messo su qualche chiletto!” esclama lei.

Le ragazze fanno un giro di vodka, e Melina parla a Yelena: “Avevi un nasone… invece ora è davvero bello”. La scena della “cena in famiglia” termina con il Guardiano che esclama alle figlie: “Ascoltate vostra madre!” A questo punto iniziano una serie di scene d’azione già presenti nel trailer, insieme ad alcune scene inedite tra cui un combattimento tra Vedova Nera e Taskmaster (in cui il villain indossa un cappuccio come nei fumetti), e nell’ultima sequenza il Guardiano chiede a Natasha se Captain America le abbia mai parlato. Lui lo definisce il suo “grande avversario,” e lei risponde: “Non ci vedi da vent’anni e la tua prima domanda è su te stesso?” Il Guardiano a quel punto le chiede se ha fatto qualcosa di sbagliato.

Alla fine del panel, Kevin Feige ha svelato ulteriori informazioni sulla trama, spiegando che il film esplorerà il passato di Vedova Nera in Russia nel sinistro programma della Stanza Rossa, oltre a gettare le basi delle successive storyline Marvel.

Black Widow uscirà il 1 maggio 2020 negli Stati Uniti e il 29 aprile in Italia.

Il “prequel” sarà ambientato dopo lo scontro a cui Vedova Nera partecipa all’aeroporto di Captain America: Civil War. Dopo questi eventi, Natasha “si ritroverà da sola e nel corso della storia dovrà fare i conti con la nota rossa nel suo registro“.

Black Widow: Cate Shortland Confirms Prequel Will ‘Hand the Baton’ to Florence Pugh

Since it was announced in 2018 that Marvel Studios has indeed finally ordered a solo Black Widow movie after so many years of development and fan interest, Marvel fans have been wondering the nature of Scarlett Johansson’s first solo MCU film, especially given her character’s fate in Avengers: Endgame. Their speculations continued to grow when Florence Pugh was cast as Yelena Belova, who is also known in the comics as Black Widow. Because of this, fans have been theorizing that the upcoming film might also be Marvel Studios’ way of introducing a new character that would take on the legacy of the titular Avenger throughout future MCU films.

In a recent interview with Empire, director Cate Shortland has seemingly confirmed this theory by revealing that some new details about Black Widow and Yelena Belova’s future ahead of its November 2020 release.

“[Kevin Feige] realised that the audience would expect an origin story so, of course, we went in the opposite direction,” Shortland said. “And we didn’t know how great Florence Pugh would be. We knew she would be great, but we didn’t know how great. Scarlett is so gracious, like, ‘Oh, I’m handing her the baton.’ So it’s going to propel another female storyline.”

She also further revealed that the upcoming film will definitely be able to give Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff the proper farewell that she didn’t get in the last Avengers film. “In Endgame, the fans were upset that Natasha did not have a funeral. Whereas Scarlett, when I spoke to her about it, said Natasha wouldn’t have wanted a funeral,” Shortland explained. “She’s too private, and anyway, people don’t really know who she is. So what we did in this film was allow the ending to be the grief the individuals felt, rather than a big public outpouring. I think that’s a fitting ending for her.”

Scarlett Johansson returns as Natasha Romanoff, a spy and assassin who grew up being trained by the KGB before breaking from their grasp and becoming an agent of SHIELD and an Avenger. The film is expected to be set after the events of Captain America: Civil War, but before Avengers: Infinity War.

Black Widow will also feature a star-studded cast including Golden Globe nominee David Harbour (Stranger Things, Hellboy) as Alexei aka The Red Guardian, Florence Pugh (Fighting with My Family) as Yelena Belova, Academy Award-winning actress Rachel Weisz (The Favourite) as Melina and O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale) as Mason.

The movie was directed by Cate Shortland (Lore) from a script written by Jac Schaeffer (The Hustle). Black Widow is set to release on November 6, 2020.

Black Widow’ Eyes New Release Date, ‘Soul’ May Move to Disney Plus

The reopening of movie theaters may hit another speed bump.

Disney will likely delay “Black Widow,” the superhero adventure from Marvel that was slated to open on Nov. 6, according to multiple individuals with knowledge of the situation. The studio is also exploring various release options for Pixar’s existential cartoon “Soul.” The animated kids’ film is still scheduled to release on Nov. 20, but it is unlikely to move forward with those plans. The studio is even considering releasing it on Disney Plus.

A Disney insider disputed claims that “Soul” was moving to Disney Plus.

An impending “Black Widow” delay comes just days after Warner Bros. announced that “Wonder Woman 1984” will debut in late December instead of early October. STX also moved the Gerard Butler thriller “Greenland” out of September, while Universal pushed “Candyman” into 2021, depriving exhibitors of any major releases until James Bond sequel “No Time to Die” opens on Nov. 20. It is yet another sign that the U.S. box office won’t return to “normal” anytime soon.

A spokesperson for Disney declined to comment on this report.

Around 70% of U.S. cinemas have reopened, but many are having trouble attracting audiences. Compounding issues is the fact that major domestic markets such as New York City and Los Angeles are still closed. Theater owners hoped that Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” would usher in a return to moviegoing, but with so many major territories shuttered and consumers worried about coronavirus, the film has made a disappointing $29 million in North America after two weeks of release.

The sci-fi epic had found greater success at the international box office, where ticket sales have surpassed $177 million. But since the U.S. remains the biggest moviegoing market in the world, it is becoming increasingly difficult for studios to justify rolling out major blockbusters during the pandemic.

In any case, Disney’s live-action “Mulan” did little to instill confidence in the viability of movie theaters. The fantasy epic arrived below expectations in China, a market that the studio was counting on to deliver robust ticket sales. Though it opened at No. 1 on box office charts, it collected a muted $23 million during its initial weekend. “Mulan” had a hybrid release, skipping U.S. theaters to debut on Disney Plus for an extra $30. It’s unclear if “Soul” will be made available to Disney Plus subscribers free of charge or if users will need to pay a premium for access, as they did with “Mulan.” In the wake of the pandemic, Disney has moved numerous movies straight to its streaming platform, including “Hamilton,” “Artemis Fowl” and “The One and Only Ivan.”

“Black Widow” starring Scarlett Johansson, has been delayed multiple times since it was originally scheduled to debut in May. Disney has yet to figure out when “Black Widow” will open and what its move means for future Marvel releases, such as “Eternals,” “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” and “Thor: Love and Thunder.”

“If you get asked to be in a Marvel film,” Pugh said. “And it was so thrilling and fun and exciting to be in, then of course, your head goes: ‘Oh my God. If this is what it’s like, then what else is next? If that happens and I am lucky enough that people appreciate my character, that’s an exciting road to go on. I would be silly to not be excited by it. I think that being part of the Marvel club is a great honour. But we’ll just see if people like Yelena first.”

Johansson, who was also on hand during the interview, took a different approach and relayed her hopes that Pugh would eventually take over the Black Widow title.

Ma, non credo al ritorno della Johansson, manderebbe in vacca tutta la sua storia. Se ha fatto un rinnovo sarà per apparizioni cameo di flashback o simili, non fanno altro che parlare della parabola del suo personaggio, la stessa Scarlett ne è fiera e poi con un tiro di riga la resuscitano? Improbabile e condivisibile. Il futuro è Yelena Belova.

Black Widow, Florence Pugh spiega perché la storia sarà “dolorosa e potente”

Dopo una serie di nuove foto, Total Film ci regala alcune interviste alle protagoniste di Black Widow, il cinecomic Marvel che ha al momento un destino incerto.
Florence Pugh, che interpreta Yelena, ha sottolineato la maturità del cinecomic visti i temi trattati:
È un film che tratta di abusi sulle donne, di isterectomie forzate all’età di otto anni, di ragazzine rapite in tutto il mondo. È una storia così dolorosa e così importante.
La cosa che mi emoziona è che donne e ragazze in tutto il mondo vedranno il film e assisteranno alla storia di un abuso che viene messo in discussione dalle sue stesse vittime. È elettrizzante che un film Marvel raggiunga questi livelli.
La cosa più bella è che non è ricoperto da una coltre di grigio. Vedrete queste donne forti combattere, da assassine, pur dovendo fare i conti con l’abuso vissuto. È un film incredibilmente potente.
La regista Cate Shortland ha paragonato invece Natasha Romanoff a un celebre personaggio:
Natasha è un po’ come la Clarice di Jodie Foster in Il silenzio degli innocenti. È fantastico perché quando ha in mano la pistola, trema. Ma è molto tosta all’interno e resiliente. Volevo apportare questo aspetto al personaggio, in modo tale da non limitarsi a vederla uscire da certe situazioni sapendo che ce farà. Dovevamo vedere la sua determinazione e la sua grinta.

Black Widow a luglio al cinema e su Disney+ con accesso VIP, Luca rinuncia alla sala

La Disney ha annunciato che Black Widow, il cinecomic Marvel con Scarlett Johansson, non arriverà più nei cinema a maggio come inizialmente previsto.
La nuova data d’uscita è il 9 luglio, ma non è la sola novità: proprio come Raya e l’ultimo drago e Mulan, infatti, il film sarà fruibile anche su Disney+ con accesso VIP.
Lo slittamento a luglio implica che Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings dovrà necessariamente essere rimandato al 3 settembre. Gli Eterni resta confermato per il 5 novembre.
Quanto al resto del panorama, Crudelia con Emma Stone resta confermato per il 28 maggio, ma anche in quel caso si tratterà di un’uscita ibrida, con accesso VIP su Disney+. Il nuovo film della Pixar Luca arriverà invece direttamente in streaming su Disney+ il 18 giugno.

secondo noi ormai è venuto il momento che venga rilasciato...
c'è il rischio che se l'avessero posticipato ancora sarebbe stato vecchio... anche perchè ci sono già i libri in giro da circa 6 mesi e si sa già tutta la storia...
fossimo stati in loro l'avremmo mandata direttamente su Disney+ qualche mese fa... sicuramente la piattaforma avrebbe fatto il botto di acquisti e visualizzazioni... i Marvel sono troppo amati

Dopo il mega successo di Scarlet Witch scegliere la Vedova Nera per potenziare Disney+ è il passo successivo, una vera prelibatezza, facilmente "sacrificabile" perché come eroina non è nella trinità che finora ha contato su mega effetti speciali da sala cinematografica: Iron Man - Captain America - Thor.

Prossimamente arriverà finalmente al cinema, dopo ben più di un anno. Già si ipotizza un sequel e mi pare il segreto di Pulcinella non rivelare il nome di colei che erediterà l'onore/onere del personaggio, ovvero la Yelena Belova di Florence Pugh.

While speaking with Radio Times, Shortland hinted that the Black Widow franchise could continue with a sequel revolved around a different character.

I think following a different character, yes. I think Scarlett is really happy that she’s leaving the party, you know, and she’s not the last to leave,” she added. “She decided she wanted to go. And I don’t think she would want to come back at the moment.

Qualcuno l'ha visto? Sono stato in sala ma ammetto che ho dovuto rivederlo online per recuperare alcuni momenti in cui al buio del cinema sono stato in letargia, non so se dipesa dalla stanchezza o dai momenti troppo soporiferi dei dialoghi familiari. Fatto sta che il film esce fuori tempo massimo. Di per sé non è fatto male, buone interpretazioni e buona coreografia action ma la storia non decolla. Sa troppo di filler. Il personaggio della Pugh è piuttosto ruvido e grezzo e forse è un bene creare una personalità lontana dalla sofisticatezza della Johansson, considerando che ne erediterà i futuri film, ma non immaginavo la scrivessero così tamarra. Molto buono l'avvio, con ottima intro e colonna sonora, poi il film è puro manierismo. Più che sufficiente, 7 per la regia e azione al massimo.
Ps. Sicuramente mi è piaciuto più qui come abbiano sviluppato il tema del girl power che in Captain Marvel.

Non ne esce affatto male, è un ottimo personaggio, con un bel carisma, ma, forse per distinguerla da Nat, qui è tratteggiata come grossolana e maschiaccia. Non che non ami la categoria, la Carano in The Mandalorian è stata forse il mio personaggio preferito, solo forse non mi aspettavo che la Pugh avesse tratteggiato un personaggio "poco fine", tutto qui. In realtà Yelena ha anche molta sensibilità, la vita l'ha provata ed è piuttosto dura. Sono portato a credere che nella serie tv Hawkeye, dove la rivederemo, possa sfoderare qualcosa di diverso. Vedremo...Comunque non è sorella di sangue di Natasha.

Nessuna volgarità, assolutamente. Ever Anderson ha un volto alieno, un po' come la madre. Nei momenti di dramma iniziale in cui è coinvolta è stata credibilmente emotiva e tosta. Decisamente adolescenziale e non bambina, anche la sua Wendy sarà più grande rispetto alla versione del romanzo.

Lei ha fatto causa alla Disney per danni, in quanto sovrebbe incassare parecchi soldi anche sugli incassi del film ai botteghini ma siccome la disney ha deciso di distribuirlo anche su disneyplus, gli introiti sono minori e lei vuole essere risarcita. La disney da parte sua accusa Scarlett di poca sensibilità verso la pandemia e di aver intascato già 20 milioni di dollari per il film…..

Articolo interessante, che fa luce sulla deriva creativa dello studio, ma in generale della Disney, nelle mani di produttori che non capiscono niente di arte e che ragionando solo sui numeri e fallendo miseramente, rischiano di mandare all'aria l'intero baraccone.
