Manco quello,era un film d'evasione per Halloween,comunque non era tutto da buttare il maggiordomo mi è piaciuto e Murphy che non fa più ridere......
Beh questo sentendo Del Toro sarà un PG-13.Spero che sia anche alla regia

Del Toro: I would love that. I’ve told John that if he can use some of my stuff and I can use some of his stuff and make it a cohesive universe that would be fantastic.

The director also provided an updated on his adaptation of the Disney ride Haunted Mansion, which was first announced nearly three years ago. Del Toro confirmed that he will only be producing the film due to his busy schedule:

“Haunted Mansion we chased the writer for a year and a half, we didn’t get the writer, we’re going after another writer. That one I would produce and I co-wrote, but I won’t direct… I’m a huge fan of Haunted Mansion and I would love to do it, but Disney at the same time wants to move really fast on it, and I’m busy for a year and a half or two so they don’t want to wait that long. But if we keep chasing writers that we don’t get, it’s getting to be difficult.”

Quindi devono ancora trovare lo sceneggiatore? Stiamo freschi... e ci sarebbe tutto il tempo di aspettare Del Toro per un paio d'anni, basterebbe mandare in produzione 20,000 Leghe per il 2016 e programmare Haunted Mansion per il '17.

The Haunted Mansion: Guillermo Del Toro aggiorna sul progetto

Tra i vari progetti in cantiere per Guillermo Del Toro c'è anche The Haunted Mansion della Walt Disney Pictures. In una nuova intervista Del Toro ha aggiornato lo status del progetto e chiarito il suo coinvolgimento nel film.
"Due settimane fa mi sono recato a Disneyland con due executives con i quali ho sviluppato lo script. E' una sceneggiatura difficile. L'abbiamo già fatta un paio di volte, siamo alla terza o quarta stesura, con due team differenti. Penso che la miglior cosa da fare sia combinare che sia grandiosa dell'attrazione nel film, e renderlo davvero intenso ma con un senso di divertimento, proprio come l'attrazione" spiega Del Toro "abbiamo realizzato circa 50-60 modelli e concept art. Abbiamo sviluppato dei modelli dell'Hat Box Ghost, sulla faccia e il corpo di Doug Jones, ma non abbiamo ancora una buonissima sceneggiatura. Credo che la Disney realizzerà il film subito dopo aver consegnato loro una buona sceneggiatura, ma finché non ne consegneremo uno saremo sempre 'vicinissimi' a partire ma non veramente vicini".
Riguardo il suo coinvolgimento, Del Toro conferma che sarà solo produttore ma non esclude la possibilità di dirigerlo: "è un film che amerei dirigere. Ma mi piacerebbe anche solo essere coinvolto da produttore se non ce la farò a dirigerlo".

Ryan Gosling Teaming With Guillermo del Toro for Disney’s ‘Haunted Mansion’ (Exclusive)

The “Lost River” director is in talks to star in the supernatural family film, which is in development

Just as his directorial debut “Lost River” hits theaters this weekend, Oscar-nominated actor Ryan Gosling is in talks to star in Guillermo del Toro‘s Disney movie “Haunted Mansion.”

Gosling and del Toro have developed a close friendship of late, with the Mexican filmmaker moderating a panel with Gosling at SXSW last month to discuss the making of “Lost River.” The duo were also photographed together at Disneyland over Oscar weekend, where they rode the Haunted Mansion ride in addition to Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain Railroad and the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.

“Haunted Mansion” has been in development at Disney for several years, as the project was first announced at Comic-Con in July 2010. D.V. DeVincentis (“High Fidelity”) is currently working on the script for the supernatural family film.

“Haunted Mansion” represents a homecoming of sorts for the actor, who is a former Mouseketeer. He also co-starred in Disney’s beloved sports movie “Remember the Titans.”

Screenplays I have developed, fully written or co-written that have gone unproduced (so far): The Witches, Justice League Dark, Beauty and the Beast, At the Mountains of Madness, Fantastic Voyage, The Count of Montecristo, Mephisto's Bridge, Pacific Rim 2 (very different), Secret Project (Untitled), Superstitious, Nightmare Alley, Haunted Mansion, The Hulk pilot, The Buried Giant, The Coffin, Drood, List of 7 (Mark Frost) and a few others...Oh, and Wind in the Willows (which I loved). The thing is each script takes about a year, so more than a decade of work lost (in the case of Mountains, much more, since we scouted and designed etc.) To be clear these screenplays are written, done. Each of them took months or years of my life. Meetings, synopsis, beat sheets and were all written, features, 90-130 pages each. These are not "maybes" or "wish list" items. They are done.

Potremmo mai vedere un live action prodotto da Don Hahn e ispirato al Phantom Manor di Disneyland Paris?
In occasione dell’arrivo su Disney+ il prossimo 7 agosto di “Howard – La vita, le parole”, il documentario di Don Hahn dedicato al leggendario paroliere due volte premio Oscar (per La Sirenetta e poi, postumo, per La Bella e la bestia) Howard Ashman, abbiamo avuto la possibilità d’intervistare proprio il regista di questa produzione.
Don Hahn in Disney è una vera e propria leggenda che ha prodotto, fra gli altri, il già citato La Bella e la Bestia, Il Re Leone, Il Gobbo di Notre Dame e Le Follie dell’Imperatore.
In ambito di avventure nel live action, si deve a lui l’arrivo nelle sale, nel 2003, di La Casa dei Fantasmi, il film diretto da Rob Minkoff (Il Re Leone, Stuart Little) e interpretato da Eddie Murphy ispirato all’omonima ride dei parchi Disney. Uscito nello stesso anno del primo Pirati dei Caraibi, lungometraggio anch’esso basato sull’attrazione dei theme park della major, non ottenne però lo stesso sensazionale successo di pubblico.
Nella nostra chiacchierata con Don Hahn, che vi proporremo in forma integrale la prossima settimana, abbiamo chiesto al produttore, ora uomo di punta della divisione Disneynature, se gradirebbe produrre una nuova iterazione del film basata, magari, sulla versione francese della Casa dei Fantasmi, il ben noto Phantom Manor ospitato a Disneyland Paris nell’area tematica Frontierland. Anche se l’ispirazione della ride resta, chiaramente, la medesima di quelle presenti nei parchi statunitensi, i Disney Imagineering hanno scelto di ampliare la mitologia e la storia della stessa collegandola, in maniera diretta, a quella del Big Thunder Mountain, l’ottovolante mine train che si affaccia sul lago antistante al lugubre maniero.
Ecco cosa ci ha detto:
Assolutamente sì. Sai, la cosa grandiosa di Walt Disney e delle attrazioni situate nei parchi che portano il suo nome, è che si basa davvero tutto sul concetto di storytelling. I parchi a tema, le montagne russe, prese come elementi a sé stanti, non erano delle novità. La geniale intuizione di Walt Disney è stata quella di donare una storia a queste attrazioni. Anche il concept stesso di una Casa dei Fantasmi non è un’idea nuova, ma il dare una storia a Master Gracey e tutta la vicenda alle spalle di una ride, finisce per rendere davvero speciale quella che, altrimenti, finirebbe per essere una normale attrazione. Ed è questo il motivo per cui sia tu che io amiamo qualcosa come il Phantom Manor, La casa dei Fantasmi o come preferiamo chiamarla. Ed è esattamente la stessa ragione per cui risultano decisamente attraenti anche per i filmmaker. Non è un caso che ci siano così tanti film ispirati alle ride, pensa anche solo a Jungle Cruise in uscita il prossimo anno. Sono elementi narrativi già pronti da sfruttare, che stanno nei parchi Disney in attesa che qualcuno li trasformi in film. Quindi, riassumendo, sì, Qualsiasi filmmaker amerebbe mettere le proprie mani su storie come queste.

'Haunted Mansion' Movie in the Works With Writer Katie Dippold (Exclusive)

The studio previously turned the ride into a movie in 2003 with a feature starring Eddie Murphy.
Disney is building a new Haunted Mansion.

Katie Dippold, perhaps best known for writing the recent Ghostbusters reboot and hit comedy The Heat, is writing a feature based on the popular ride for Burbank-based studio.

Rideback, the banner run by Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich and was behind Disney’s billion dollar-grossing Aladdin remake, is producing what is intended to be a live-action movie.

The Haunted Mansion debuted in 1969 and was an immediate success. The premise sees theme park guests go inside a spooky and creepy manor that has a wide array of supernatural frights. It also featured a graveyard’s worth of characters, ranging from the spirit of psychic medium Madame Leota to the skeletal Bride to the cloaked Hatbox Ghost.

Disney previously adapted the ride into a 2003 movie directed by Rob Minkoff and starring Eddie Murphy. The project took a broad approach to the material. The studio since has tried to reimagine the feature adaptation with Guillermo del Toro serving as co-writer and producer.

The trick with Haunted Mansion for Disney has always been the fine line balance of genuine scares, fun, and appropriate for the wide Disney audience.

Disney did exactly that when it first translated Pirates of the Caribbean to the screen in 2003. The movie launched a multi-billion dollar franchise and made execs look inward to see what other attractions could work as movies. It took some development, but next year finally brings Jungle Cruise to the screen. The movie, scheduled to hit theatres July 30, stars Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt.

Dippold was a writer on Parks and Recreation before seguing into movies, scoring a hit with The Heat, the 2013 action comedy that starred Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. She worked on the all-female reboot of 2016’s Ghostbusters, combining laughs and scares, and also wrote Snatched, the action comedy that starred Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn.

Mi sa che per un po' continuerò a far finta che Crimson Peak si intitoli Haunted Mansion

Tranquillo, si andrà in direzione di un thrilling come Pirati dei Caraibi; si dica quel che si vuole del Ghostbusters femminile, ma aveva la sua buona dose di inquietudine, in particolare nei primi 10 minuti.

Sarà che il nuovo prossimo film cross-over della Disney mi ha dato l'intuizione, ma non trovate che sarebbe bello se per questa nuova versione non proponessero una trama che veda coinvolta tutte le case stregate del mondo? Facendo riferimento a Haunted Mansion in Usa, Phantom Manor in Europa e Mystic Manor a Hong Kong, in una sorta di trama orizzontale, magari a spasso nel tempo o diverse dimensioni?

forse vi sconvolgerà saperlo ma vogliamo dirvelo... a noi questo progetto non fa nè caldo nè freddo... le storie sulle case stregate ci annoiano enormemente e l'attrazione dei parchi non ci ha mai colpito granchè... secondo noi ci sarebbero progetti ben più interessanti che questo da mandare avanti, poi boh vedremo
