Dopo Malefica ecco Crudelia
info qui http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-visi...-cruella-639169 Disney Preps Live-Action Cruella de Vil Film (Exclusive) UPDATED: The writer for the studio's live-action "Cinderella" has been hired to pen the script for what is being titled "Cruella." After making a movie centered on Maleficent, the villainess from Sleeping Beauty, Disney is setting its sights on another bad lady: Cruella de Vil. Aline Brosh McKenna has been hired to pen Cruella, which will bring the dog-fur-loving fashionista from 101 Dalmatians into a live-action feature to be produced by Andrew Gunn, who produced Sky High and Bedtime Stories for the studio. McKenna will also produce. De Vil first appeared in Dodie Smith's 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians but became a Disney icon with the 1961 animated movie. And it's not the character's first incarnation in a live-action feature. Glenn Close memorably played the character in 1996's 101 Dalmatians and the 2000 sequel, 102 Dalmatians. In fact, Close is in involved with Cruella, acting as an executive producer. Sadly, the studio is keeping its latest take on the character locked in the dog pound. Cruella would be Disney's latest live-action take on one of its classic animated films. In addition to Alice and Maleficent, Disney is making Cinderella, which just began principal photography with Kenneth Branagh in the director's chair. McKenna already worked for Disney by penning the Cinderella script. The screenwriter, who may be best-known for adapting The Devil Wears Prada, also worked on Annie, which is now casting. She is repped by CAA. Messaggio modificato da Daydreamer il 23/3/2021, 21:10 |

Da The Hollywood Reporter
'I, Tonya' Director in Early Talks to Tackle Cruella de Vil Movie for Disney Emma Stone is set to star. Craig Gillespie, who last directed I, Tonya, is in early talks to helm Cruella, a live-action take on the 101 Dalmatians villainess. Alex Timbers was on board to direct the project, which has Emma Stone set to play the dog-hating fashionista, but the Mozart of the Jungle co-creator ran into scheduling issues. Timbers, who is also a theater director, has two major productions opening on Broadway next year, Moulin Rouge and Beetlejuice. Andrew Gunn is producing Cruella with Marc Platt. Kristin Burr, who just wrapped shooting Dora the Explorer, is also producing. Stone will play infamous villain Cruella De Vil in what is being billed as an origin story, set in the early 1980s with a punk vibe. De Vil was first seen in the 1961 animated classic 101 Dalmatians. Glenn Close played her in the 1996 live-action film produced by John Hughes, which featured the character as the head of a fashion house. Gillespie's I, Tonya was the 2017 Tonya Harding biopic that earned Margot Robbie an Oscar nomination and Allison Janney a best supporting actress Oscar win. He is well-versed in the Disney ways, having helmed The Finest Hours and Million Dollar Arm for the studio. Other credits include the 2011 Fright Night remake and Lars and the Real Girl. |
