Mamma mia me la stanno facendo fare sotto!!!!!!!!!
CS: You helped launch one of Disney's bigger hits last year, in between their two big sequels, so have they approached you about appearing in a sequel to "Enchanted" yet?
Adams: Not yet. I think we will see. I was told yesterday that the director said that "Yes, there is going to be a sequel" but I have not heard that. I'm the kind of person that until ink is dry and it's posted on a banner saying "Hear ye, hear ye" I don't ever (believe it).
Intervista completa qui:
http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=42206

Speaking of which … Given that “Enchanted” actually ended with that Carrie Underwood song, “Ever Ever After,” I never thought that I’d actually see a sequel to this Kevin Lima movie. But when it comes to today’s Hollywood, it’s wise to never to say never. Which is why we’d all best get ready for …
* ENCHANTED-2.COM
* ENCHANTEDTWO.COM
Yep. Disney actually registered these two domain names this past Saturday. And this time around, I’m betting that the Mouse did this not because they wanted to prevent some other company from using these titles. But – rather – because the Studio is seriously considering producing a sequel to this 2007 Walt Disney Pictures release.
http://jimhillmedia.com/blogs/jim_hill/archive/2009/08/20/mickey-s-sweatshop-tink-my-ride-and-enchanted-2.aspx
NO NO e ancora NO!
Sapevamo sarebbe successo...

Enchanted Sequel Moving Forward
Source:Variety February 4, 2010
Walt Disney Pictures is moving forward with a sequel to Enchanted that will be written by Jessie Nelson and directed by Anne Fletcher (The Proposal, 27 Dresses). Barry Josephson and Barry Sonnenfeld will again produce.
The original, made for about $85 million, earned an impressive $340.5 million worldwide. $127.8 million of that came from North America and $212.7 million from overseas. Kevin Lima directed the movie from a script by Bill Kelly. It starred Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Timothy Spall, Idina Menzel, Rachel Covey and Susan Sarandon.
The studio may be looking at a 2011 release.
Ma perchè cambiare regista?
E' vero che Lima è occupatissimo ma... Anne Fletcher?
Ps: GUARDATI IMMEDIATAMENTE "RENT", POI NE RIPARLIAMO... (e su youtube ascoltati "I'm not that Girl" e "Defying Gravity", ma ci sarebbero anche "The Wizard and I", "As long as You're Mine", "For Good" ecc. ecc. )
Comunque... Robert versione animata?! Seriamente, stiamo scherzando?! Ok Disney, preparati all'ennesimo flop.
No assolutamente in 2D sarà!
PC: What about ENCHANTED 2? It's at least being bandied about, right? It's on IMDB.
AM: Yeah. It's being bandied about. But, beyond bandying... (Laughs.) There's nothing real yet.
PC: Julie Andrews wasn't sure either! I'd assume she would be asked to return.
AM: Aww, really? She was so wonderful. We need to have her do more than just narrate next time!
PC: Wasn't there a cut song for Idina Menzel in ENCHANTED, too?
AM: Yes, there was.
PC: What happened? Why was it cut?
AM: It was a song at the end of the movie. Rather than go into a break-into-song moment, we went more with a montage moment. It was just... it was out of my hands. It had to do with the economy. We were very disappointed to not have Idina sing.
PC: So were we all!
AM: God, what a waste - to have Idina Menzel and not have her sing!
PC: Alan Menken was recently telling me about how much he enjoyed working with you on ENCHANTED - do you plan on revisiting that song?
IM: It was a great song but I haven't done it - I don't know why. Since my character ended up not singing - at least not the first movie - I sort of just let it go. Maybe I should go back and take a look at it.
PC: I mentioned to Julie Andrews the notion of a duet with you in ENCHANTED 2 - would you like to do that?
IM: No way! Julie Andrews knows who I am? (Laughs.) You know, that would be great, because in the second movie my character is in the animated world, so maybe I can do a song in that world and we can do something together.
PC: Can you tell me any news about that project?
IM: Not so much, I just know that it's in the works. Amy [Adams] just had a baby, so I'm not sure how far along they are with that.
Che bello!!! Io sono contento!!!
Nooooooo!

Rispetto a mooolti altri
News:
Dal sito http://www.denofgeek.com/movies/725326/alan_menken_interview_tangled_movie_scores_musicals_enchanted_2_snow_queen_and_more.html, intervista a Menken:
A: I came from theatre, of course. But yes, right now, I have nothing in the pipeline for Disney.
Q: Nothing at all?
A: I'm on [stage musicals] Sister Act, Leap Of Faith. I'm developing a musical. An MGM-RKO idea.
Q: From scratch?
A: Yeah. It's an original idea I'm working on, with David Zippel.
With Disney, whether there's going to be a sequel to Enchanted? Right now? No.
Q: Would you like there to be? You're not a sequel person, really.
A: I've never had a sequel. That's true.
I don't know what's going to be. But honestly, I'm fine with or without there being more!
Leggendo questi commenti, nn ho ben capito!
Bisogna far risorgere i morti ogni tanto
It's been some time since there was last an update on the status of a big screen sequel to Walt Disney Pictures' 2007 hit Enchanted, but the project appears to have gained some serious traction today as Deadline reports that the studio has signed J. David Stem and David N. Weiss (The Smurfs, Shrek 2) to provide the screenplay.
Enchanted starred Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Timothy Spall, Idina Menzel, Rachel Covey and Susan Sarandon, although it is uncertain who among them is planning to return for the sequel, which has Anne Fletcher (The Guilt Trip, 27 Dresses) attached to helm.
Kevin Lima directed the original, which earned an impressive $340.5 million worldwide.

Exclusive: ‘Enchanted’ Sequel Heating Up, and We Know the Title
When Enchanted hit theaters in 2007, it was a sizable hit. Disney’s live-action twist on its own classic animated film formula grossed over $340 million worldwide and landed a trio of Best Original Song Oscar nominations for some seriously catchy tunes (penned by Disney stalwart Alan Menken no less). So given the film’s success, it wasn’t a huge surprise that Disney began developing a sequel. Actually getting that sequel off the ground, however, has proven more difficult.
We’ve heard rumblings over the years of minimal movement on Enchanted 2, but now sources tell us that the project is seriously heating up over at the Mouse House. Anne Fletcher (The Proposal) remains attached to direct, and the studio is now in the process of punching up the script with the hopes that it will be in greenlight-ready shape very soon. What’s more, we know the current working title: Disenchanted.
Story details remain under wraps, and it’s still unclear exactly which cast members will return. Amy Adams led a cast that included James Marsden, Patrick Dempsey, and Susan Sarandon in the first film and she has been enthusiastic about reprising her lead role over the years. Enchanted was a wonderful showcase of her talents, as she was able to bring the traditionally naïve “Disney princess” archetype to reality with shades of dimension and show off her formidable singing pipes in the process.
This development comes at an interesting time for Disney, as the studio recently put a second Tron sequel into motion with cast and director in place before abruptly pulling the plug. An Enchanted sequel is much less expensive—and a much safer bet—than another Tron movie, but it does signal that the studio isn’t content to simply rely on mining its animated IP for live-action reboots or sit back and count that Marvel/Star Wars/Pixar money. They’re continuing to develop homegrown franchises. Even if some of those take nearly a decade to come to fruition.

Disney's 'Enchanted' Sequel Enlists 'Hairspray' Director Adam Shankman (Exclusive)
Amy Adams is expected to return for the sequel, which Disney is hoping to get before cameras in summer 2017.
Adam Shankman, the helmer behind the musical Hairspray, is in negotiations to direct Disenchanted, the sequel to Disney’s musically inclined 2007 fantasy that starred Amy Adams.
Adams is expected to return for the sequel, which Disney is hoping to get before cameras in summer 2017, several sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.
Kevin Lima directed the original movie, which tackled the idea of a prototypical Disney princess thrust into the real world, with songs and true love following.
Adams starred as Giselle, who is due to marry her Prince Charming (James Marsden) when she is plucked from her animated world and into the live-action world of New York City. There she encounters a lawyer (Patrick Dempsey) who is due to marry someone totally wrong for him (Idina Menzel). The movie also featured Susan Sarandon as a Maleficent-style evil queen.
The movie featured songs by Alan Menken and grossed over $340 million worldwide ($127 million domestically). Disney has been developing a sequel since 2010, with Anne Fletcher previously attached to direct.
Sources say Disenchanted is set 10 years after the first movie, with Giselle finding herself questioning her happily ever after, and accidentally triggering events that make everyone's lives turn upside down in both the real world and in the animated kingdom of Andalasia.
Shankman is well-known to execs at Disney for his work as a director on light-hearted comedies Bringing Down the House, The Pacifier and Bedtime Stories. But he’s also shown a love for musicals with his all-star adaptations of Hairspray and Rock of Ages which had audiences humming in their seats.
Shankman is repped by UTA and Bloom Hergott.
Uffa io rivoglio Kevin Lima

The Master, Big Eyes, Her...).
I sequel lasciamoli a film sui supereroi o simili...

I think it’s possible that Aladdin might precede The Little Mermaid. Lin-Manuel Miranda, I knew him as a kid. He was fanatic about The Little Mermaid as a kid. He went to school with my niece, that’s how I knew him… he’s involved with Mary Poppins right now, so when he’s available and producer Mark Platt is available I’m sure we’ll get into that. But I don’t know who’s going to be directing it or who’s writing the script, so there’s so much left to be determined on that. There’s discussion about Aladdin, there’s discussion about a sequel to Enchanted, and apparently another Little Shop of Horrors movie is in the works at Warner Bros. I’m also working on an original project at Universal

Enchanted 2: Alan Menken Gives Brief Update
Alan Menken confirms that he's been working on Enchanted 2, but that the formal green light is yet to be given...
It’s been a decade – really – since the delightful Enchanted landed in cinemas, accompanied by an excellent Amy Adams performance for which she didn’t win an Oscar, and terrific songs and music from Alan Menken.
In the decade that’s followed, there’s been ongoing talk of potentially doing an Enchanted 2, but only recently did it gain fresh impetus at Disney. It’s now an active project for the studio. And whilst little has been heard about it over the past few months, we got the chance to quickly ask Menken what the state of the movie was.
”Yes, we’re doing Enchanted 2,” he confirmed to Den of Geek UK. Not that there’s too much progress yet.
“We’ve had meetings,” he added. “Five films I have right now that are waiting for a greenlight. They’re all standing at the light right now, and at some point they’re going to go ‘greenlight’!” Menken added that he wouldn’t be surprised if they all got the nod at once, thus taking over his professional life for the foreseeable future.
As we hear more on Enchanted 2, we’ll let you know.
What are you working on next?
A lot of film projects. Apparently, we're talking about a live-action movie-musical of The Little Mermaid. I had one meeting with Lin-Manuel Miranda and Marc Platt and that was it. It was great. I don't know who's directing it, I don't know who's writing it, but they're tied up in London for Mary Poppins Returns. I've known Lin-Manuel for much of his life; when he was a kid, he went to school with my niece.
At Disney, there's also the Aladdin live-action movie, a developing sequel to Enchanted, and the Tangled TV show, and at Warner Bros., there's apparently going to be another Little Shop of Horrors adaptation. And I've been working on an original musical for Universal [with Josh Gad and Jeremy Gerelick] — Steven Schwartz and I wrote a whole score and lots of songs. It's a lot of fun. And also, my first animated movie in over a decade, but nothing's greenlighted.
Vedremo i prossimi sviluppi.

The ‘Enchanted 2’ Script is Almost Finished [TCA 2018]
Adam Shankman was on a Television Critics Association panel for Step Up: High Water, the YouTube Red series he is producing based on the Step Up films. After the panel, he spoke with /Film about the sequel to Enchanted. Shankman is set to direct the film, which is titled Disenchanted.
“We are handing in a script in a couple weeks that I’m super happy with,” Shankman said. “Then gotta get the music written.”
Disenchanted has been in development since 2010. Amy Adams will reprise her role as Gisele, the animated Disney princess who decided to stay in live-action New York at the end of Enchanted. The sequel is set 10 years after 2007’s Enchanted. As the title suggests, Giselle may be rethinking her love of the real world. That is still the premise of the new script, Shankman said.
“The fundamental story has changed a little bit, but not from the base story of it,” Shankman said. “It’s about Giselle 10 years later going, ‘What is happily ever after?’”
In classic Disney fashion, Enchanted had five musical numbers, three of which were nominated for Oscars (“Falling Slowly” from Once won that year). Shankman said there would be more songs in the sequel.
“There’s a lot more songs this time than there were in the original, at least in the planning phase right now,” Shankman said.
Enchanted was bookended with animated sequences. Shankman said fans can expect the same amount of animation in the sequel.
“As for the animation, it’s probably about the same amount,” he said.
Disenchanted could conceivably still make a 2018 release if the new script is greenlit immediately. For now, consider it TBD.

[...]
How are things coming along with the Enchanted sequel, Disenchanted? Do you have a possible timeframe for when you’d like to get that into production?
SHANKMAN: We’re turning in a script really soon, and everybody feels really good and gung-ho. I’ve been in touch with Amy [Adams] and the cast, and everybody is really into it. We all love the story about everybody wondering what exactly defines happily ever after. It’s just a very exciting project that we all hope happens. Right now, we’re in a good place.
The sequel seems like it would have been a total no-brainer to get into production, but it’s been in development for awhile now.
SHANKMAN: It’s been in development for a long time, but remember, in the midst of it, there was a big regime change, and a lot of stuff around the studio, figuring out what was important to Disney and how many movies they were going to make a year. There were some big movies that they were right to make, right out of the gate. Their track record is impenetrable. Making a movie over there is very exciting because they do not feel the need to put anything into production until they feel like they have it completely right.
What do you hope to do with the music?
SHANKMAN: As planned right now, there’s more singing and dancing than there was in the first one, and it’s all original music, with Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz coming back to do it.

Amy Adams On ‘Enchanted’ Sequel: “We’re Working On It”
Amy Adams during an appearance today on The Talk gave a brief update on the status of Disenchanted, Disney’s long-in-the-works sequel to its Adams-starring 2007 hit about Giselle, the singing animated Disney princess who crosses over into the real world.
Opening; 'Incredibles 2' To Soar Past Half Billion -...
“I am absolutely up for that,” Adams when asked by co-host Sara Gilbert about reprising her role in a sequel. “We’re working on it — so hopefully.”
There has been no recent movement on the project at Disney — the sequel is currently in development with Adam Shankman attached to direct. But Enchanted 2 was in the works as far back as 2014, when Anne Fletcher was aboard to helm a script written by J. David Stem and David N. Weiss from an earlier draft by Jessie Nelson. Barry Josephson and Barry Sonnenfeld are back as producers.
Aside from Adams, who since Enchanted scored four of her five Oscar nominations, the original pic co-starred Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, Timothy Spall, Idina Menzel, Rachel Covey and Susan Sarandon. The family fantasy pic made $340.5 million at the global box office and was nominated for three Best Song Oscars from the team of Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz.
Adams was on The Talk panel today with Patricia Clarkson promoting their HBO series Sharp Objects.

Patrick Dempsey On Where Things Stand With the 'Enchanted' Sequel (Exclusive)
It's been 11 years since Enchanted came out, and fans are still asking about a sequel.
Patrick Dempsey is giving all the fairy-tale fans a very exciting update about the highly anticipated movie that is in the works. The 52-year-old actor told ET's Katie Krause in an exclusive sit-down interview at the Dempsey Center in Lewiston, Maine, that he'd totally be up for reprising his role of Robert Philip, revealing that a team is "in the process of working on the book, the lyrics and the musical aspects."
"We'll see what happens," Dempsey shared. "I think it's such a beloved movie we need to make sure it's right before we move forward. And certainly, Amy was remarkable in that film and she's an incredible actress and James Marsden as well. We'll see, I hope it can live up to what we did originally, that's the important thing. If it happens, then we do it."
However, Dempsey hasn't seen a script yet and admitted he hasn't signed on the dotted line as far as a contract. Amy Adams, on her end, has also stated that she would "absolutely" be part of a sequel.
"But we've been talking about it and I'm just waiting for them to go through the process," he explained. "It's a tough one to redo so well see… A lot of people come up to me [asking about Enchanted] and they always ask for the chipmunk," he laughs.
As far as where he sees his character now, "He probably 10 years older and [Giselle and Robert] are still together. They have a child together and I think they are battling what it means to be getting older and I think she wants to go back to Andalasia so she doesn't have to age. I think that's what it is, I don't know but we will see."

What’s Happening With Amy Adams’ Enchanted Sequel, Disenchanted?
Disney has been cashing in on the trend of nostalgia in the movie industry by creating live-action adaptations of its animated blockbusters. The House of Mouse will go the more traditional sequel route with Mary Poppins Returns, but many fans are still wondering what happened to the Enchanted sequel. Titled Disenchanted, the project has long been in development, and CinemaBlend just got an update from director Adam Shankman.
CinemaBlend recently spoke to Adam Shankman about his new Taraji P. Henson movie What Men What, where the conversation eventually turned to his announced role as director of Disenchanted. Shankman said the following:
Yeah, we're still working on it. We're plugging away. We are trying to get there to start... we are pounding forward. I can just say that, Amy (Adams) has read the most recent scripts. We're real happy with the most recent script. And we're just wrestling now with things like budget and getting music written and all of that. I'm hoping that it's imminent.
While not exactly breaking news, this update is certainly going to be exciting for Enchanted fans out there. Because with the script finally shaping up and star Amy Adams on board to reprise her role a Giselle, it looks like the wheels are finally moving forward, and making Disenchanted a reality.
Adam Shankman's comments to CinemaBlend's Sarah El-Mahmoud will likely be a relief for moviegoers who thought an Enchanted sequel was never going to happen. The original movie was released back in 2007, so it's already been well over a decade of waiting. And while those involved occasionally give vague updates, Shanksman's most recent statement makes the plans feel a bit more concrete.
Enchanted featured a great cast of actors, with Amy Adams leading the charge as cartoon princess turned fish out of water Giselle. James Marsdon matched her ridiculousness as Prince Edward, while Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey played the straight man as Robert. Frozen star Idina Menzel also played Robert's fiancee Nancy, who ended up going 2-D and falling in love with Edward by the film's end.
Disenchanted would be able to give fans an update about how Giselle is adjusting to life in the real world, and her role as a mother figure to Morgan. Furthermore, it could give Idina Menzel the opportunity to belt out some new Disney tunes, as Nancy's time in Andalasia likely made her a bit more musical. Acclaimed composer Alan Menken wrote the music for the first film, so hopefully Adam Shankman is working alongside the writer for the developing sequel.
Of course, it's likely going to be quite some time for Disenchanted to come to theaters, as it hasn't even been written, let alone filmed and edited. As such, the mystery surrounding Adam Shankman's upcoming Disney feature won't slow down anytime soon.
You can catch Adam Shankman's What Men Want when it arrives in theaters on February 8, 2019. In the meantime, check out our 2019 release list to plan your trips to the movies in the New Year.

Dal sito https://metrosource.com/adam-shankman-what-men-want/:
Q: You have so many irons in the fire. What Men Want is out in February and then you’re off to Disenchanted.
Adam Shankman: While I’ve been incredibly fortunate to get to work on so many great projects, the truth is that until I’m in production on something, I spend a lot of my time on the million things that need to happen in order to get a project made. That remains a huge challenge in our industry, even with the emergence of so many platforms and creative outlets and the increased opportunity they provide. The economics of getting a project off the ground have radically changed from the time I first got into this business, and I find now that the most difficult part of the process is actually getting something into production, no matter how excited the financier may be about the script or concept or cast. That being said, I love being busy developing projects when I’m not shooting, and feel very lucky to get to do that. It’s a thrill too to finally unleash What Men Want out in the world; and this coming year I hope to really get going on Disenchanted.
Q: What can you tell us about Disenchanted?
Adam Shankman: The film will pick up ten or so years after the end of Enchanted and the ‘happily ever after’ that Giselle imagined with Robert isn’t exactly as she pictured it. As only a woman born of fairy tale magic can, she makes a wish and the world turns upside down — filled with chaos, hilarity, emotions and, yep, musical numbers. Yes, I’m already dreaming up the musical numbers in my head and excited — couldn’t be more excited — to both direct and choreograph the film.

Q: I know you're working on the sequel to Enchanted. Tell us about that and where it stands.
Adam Shankman: Where it stands is we are working right now. We'll have a new draft of the script into the studio hopefully in like 6 or 7 weeks and we'll take it from there.
Q: Who's writing the songs?
Adam Shankman: Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz are still writing it.
Q: Who from the cast is coming back?
Adam Shankman: Amy Adams and James Marsden and Idina Menzel said yes and will sing if I have anything to say about it. We've all talked about that. And Patrick [Dempsey]. So the leading four people will be back.
Q: So, when will that happen? Do you know?
Adam Shankman: I don't know. It's all we talk about. Amy [Adams] and I just like stare at each other and go 'When do we start? When do we start? When do we start?'. The movie business since the first Enchanted was made has compressed so dramatically. When Enchanted was made, I think Disney was making like 25 movies a year or something like that. Disney now makes like 4 movies a year, 5 at the most. Disney proper; not Marvel or Lucasfilm...Actually under the Disney label. Getting in there is a big hurdle. I'm like 'please look at me' and they're so busy with Aladdins, and Little Mermaids, and Snow Whites, and all of that, you know? And the little Giselle that could is sitting over in the corner going 'Make me! Make me!'. But we're all here. We're ready to go. We love what the story is about.

Disney's Enchanted 2: James Marsden Breaks Silence on Sequel Rumors
As Walt Disney Studios continues to expand its library with reboots, remakes, and original projects for the big screen and the new Disney+ streaming service, there are a lot of popular franchises being revived or given sequels over the coming years. But the fan-favorite Amy Adams-starring film Enchanted has remained untouched since its original released over a decade ago. While there have been rumblings of a sequel to the modern fairy tale mashup flick, Disney has yet to move forward and formalize plans for a sequel.
ComicBook.com's Chris Killian had the opportunity to speak with actor James Marsden, who played Prince Edward in Enchanted, and prodded him about the status of the long-rumored sequel.
"The odds are probably less so on [Enchanted 2] because they've been talking about making that movie for a while but I hope so, I hope we make it," Marsden explained. "I think they're trying to get the script right. And I think Amy's interested, we haven't really spoken about it but I keep I keep hearing about it. But I also don't- you know, we've been fooled before that it was gonna happen, it didn't happen. We should do it before we get too long in the tooth."
Marsden is currently promoting the impending release of Sonic the Hedgehog, but at least he's open to the idea of returning for another Enchanted film. Even legendary songwriter Alan Menken revealed last year that there were plans to make the sequel.
"Yes, we’re doing Enchanted 2,” Menken told Den of Geek. “We’ve had meetings. Five films I have right now that are waiting for a greenlight. They’re all standing at the light right now, and at some point they’re going to go ‘greenlight!'”
But Marsden's co-star Patrick Dempsey seems skeptical as well, telling Entertainment Tonight back in October 2018 that he's hopeful it comes together.
"We'll see what happens," Dempsey said of the sequel. "I think it's such a beloved movie we need to make sure it's right before we move forward. And certainly, Amy was remarkable in that film and she's an incredible actress and James Marsden as well. We'll see, I hope it can live up to what we did originally, that's the important thing. If it happens, then we do it."
While we wait on more updates for Enchanted 2, fans can see Marsden next appear in Sonic the Hedgehog premiering on February 14th.

Enchanted's Stephen Schwartz offers promising update on long-awaited sequel Disenchanted
Get ready to sing a happy little working song again.
Enchanted's Stephen Schwartz has shared a promising update on the sequel.
Starring Oscar-nominee Amy Adams as Princess Giselle and Westworld's James Marsden as Prince Edward, the musical fantasy was quickly touted for a sequel titled Disenchanted, but its development has been marred by delays.
In conversation with Digital Spy about his brand new The Prince of Egypt musical, composer Schwartz revealed that 13 years after the popular Disney movie was released, Disenchanted is "definitely" still in the works.
"We had a couple of days of meetings about it just last week, because [songwriter] Alan Menken is here in London, working on the Little Mermaid movie, and I'm here. So the writer and director [Adam Shankman] came over," he said.
"At this point, we don't know whether... we're not greenlit. We don't know if Disney is actually going to make the movie or not.
"But we are definitely working on it with the hope that we'll come up with enough that Disney will feel that they want to go ahead and make the movie. But that is definitely being worked on."
Back in 2018, Adams confirmed she was "absolutely up for that" when discussing an Enchanted follow-up, while Shankman noted how a "big regime change" ultimately affected its development.
But thanks to Schwartz's latest update, Disney fans can have renewed faith in the movie finally making it to the big screen.
Thanks with all of my heart dear Disney. Looks like I'll be working on a looooooottttt of magic for awhile... I feel incredibly honored and humbled to be guiding forward these two Disney crown jewel legacies. My only hope is to honor those who came before me and build something new and exciting, as I desperately try to not let down the fans and enchant the new initiates! Fingers crossed!

Q: Have you been writing? What have you been doing in your downtime?
Alan Menken: It's been a great time for writing, yeah. Production stopped on the Little Mermaid movie. We recorded all the songs. I wrote four new songs with Lin-Manuel Miranda, the lyricist for Mermaid. I'm working on Disenchanted, the sequel to Enchanted. I have another Broadway show. We have Hercules. Hercules is coming to the stage. Of course, we did that in Central Park last summer. Just a whole bushel of new projects.

Q: Even though all production is on hold right now, it seems as though there’s finally some actual active development for the Enchanted sequel. Have you read a script? Have there been actual conversations with you about it?
James Marsden: I’ve not read a script. I hear they’re working on it. I hear they’re working on the music. I’ve had a couple of texts from some people involved. That’s the extent of it. My fingers are crossed. I’m to the point now where it’s been so long since we’ve done the first one. Every year that goes by, we talk about it and I get my hopes up, but it doesn’t happen. I’m glad to see it gaining some steam ‘cause I do think it would be a lot of fun, getting that band back together. But I also don’t wait for it, really. You’ve just gotta go forward with other things that are real. It looks real. I don’t wanna say it doesn’t look real, but I’ve been burned before. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Q: I frequently find myself wondering what song might be stuck in Alan Menken's head at any given time.
Alan Menken: Whatever song I'm working on at that moment. Right now it's a song from our upcoming movie, Disenchanted!
Visti gli ultimi trend, non mi stupirei se il titolo fosse Enchanted-Rise of Andalasia o The Enchanted Legacy!
Dalla https://www.instagram.com/p/CDDA-sND4XE/:
Alright. Back to work. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like the world could really use Giselle and the Sanderson sisters these days. A little magic and joy would go a looooong way in these challenging times. #disenchanted #hocuspocus2

Exclusive: Patrick Dempsey Returning for ‘Disenchanted’; More Writers Set
At the Disney Investor Day, The Walt Disney Company officially announced a sequel to their 2007 hit film Enchanted, which will be released on Disney+.
We have now exclusively learned that Patrick Dempsey, who played Robert Phillip, will be reprising his role in this film. In addition, we are hearing that the character of Morgan, Robert’s daughter, will be returning as well, though no casting has been confirmed. The studio is also looking for an actress to play a new villain in the film.
We have also learned that Brigette Hales is attached as a writer, alongside director Adam Shankman. Hales previously has worked on Once Upon a Time for ABC and the Stephen King miniseries 11.22.63. Other writers include Richard Lagravenese (P. S. I Love You), Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber (500 Days of Summer).
Previous drafts have been written by Jessie Nelson (Fred Claus), Rita Hsaio (Mulan), Annabel Oakes (Grease: Rydell High), and David Stem and David Weiss (Shrek 2)
Bill Kelly wrote the screenplay for the original film.
Titled Disenchanted, this sequel will feature the return of Amy Adams as Giselle and will be directed by Adam Shankman of Hairspray. Also returning are Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz to write new songs for the film.
The original Enchanted follows an archetypal Disney princess character, Giselle, as she steps out of her animated world into the rough live-action world of New York City. Starring Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, and Idina Menzel, this film was a huge hit upon its release, grossing more than $340 million worldwide.
Io ho molte aspettative!
Ahaha sarebbe un cross-over incredibile!

‘Disenchanted’ to Begin Filming This Spring
A couple weeks back, we exclusively reported that Patrick Dempsey had signed on to return to Disney’s upcoming Enchanted sequel, Dempsey would later confirm our report on Good Morning America. Now, it looks like the gears are turning and the film will hit production soon.
According to Production Weekly, which yes, isn’t always the most reliable, they have shared that Disenchanted will begin filming this Spring in Ireland. I can confirm that this information is 100% accurate. The news is interesting as the first film took place in New York, and it should be noted that Ireland looks like the land of Andalasia, the animated land Giselle is from.
Wow bene!
Bravi veu, potrebbe essere proprio così a pensarci, perché no?
grazie ragazzi... vedremo quel che sarà

Disney are looking for local dancers for upcoming film shot in Ireland
Production is set to begin during the summer
Disney are looking for local dancers for an upcoming film which will be shot in Ireland.
Walt Disney Studios sent out a casting call for a musical which is set to begin production during the summer, with the rehearsals due to begin in mid-March.
The world-famous studios said that they are looking for “technically trained dancers for an upcoming musical feature film to be shot in Ireland”.
“Seeking dancers to play characters ranging from 18 years to 60 years – all ethnicities, shapes and sizes are welcome,” the casting call added.
The studio has also specified that “strong tap skills” are a plus along with “elements of ballet, waltz, and jazz”, and that “dancers will be hired locally from Ireland.”
The Disney studios have not yet announced which film is coming to the island, but speculation has already begun.
Earlier this month, Patrick Dempsey confirmed that he and Amy Adams would be reprising their roles from the 2007 film ‘Enchanted’ for a sequel entitled ‘Disenchanted’, which according to Production Weekly will be filmed in Ireland.
The beloved rom-com saw Amy star as Princess Giselle, banished from the animated land of Andalasia to the live-action world of New York.

Walt Disney Studios to film a major musical in Ireland this year
A casting call is going out for dancers of all types and experience for the major production
This could be the big break any twinkle-toed types are looking for.
Disney say they are going to shoot a major new movie in Ireland and they are looking for dancers - CorkBeo reports.
The Walt Disney Studios - behind some recent hits like the animated movie 'Soul' (with Pixar) and the upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid with Halle Berry and Javier Bardem - have just sent out a big casting call for Irish talent.
And while they haven't specified a movie - it's believed the Irish talent is wanted for the planned sequel to the much-loved live-action musical romance Enchanted which is due to start shooting in Ireland this Spring and Summer (pandemic allowing).
The sequel will be called Disenchanted and will see Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey return to reprise the roles they made so popular when the original movie was released way back in 2007.
It's a big-budget production with Disney betting big on the sequel to the family favourite that gave us so many memorable scenes and songs.
The casting call from Disney Studios (who have an office in Dublin) says:
"We are looking for technically trained dancers for an upcoming musical feature film to be shot in Ireland," says Disney.
"Seeking dancers to play characters ranging from 18 years to 60 years - all ethnicities, shapes and sizes are welcome".
"There will be elements of ballet, waltz and jazz. Men should be able to lift ladies. Strong tap dance skills are a plus. Dancers will be hired locally from Ireland."
Rehearsals are due to start on this new Disney film in March with production to take place in the summer, pandemic conditions allowing. The casting is being run by a well-known Irish movie and theatre choreographer.
If you, or somebody you know, has dance training and would like to get into the cast, you can email belinda.murphy@disneympp.com and make sure to include:
A Dance CV
Headshot
Dance Reel
Location (city)
Phone number and email address
It's likely that casting events will be taking place in Dublin and in Cork and another cities so this is a chance for some talented Leesiders to get involved in what should be one of the biggest movies to be shot in Ireland in 2021.
It's the second glimpse of Hollywood glamour to emerge over the past week in Cork - last week, we told you of a very secretive casting call in West Cork which is believed to be linked to a major studio movie being shot in the region later this year

James Marsden and Idina Menzel Will Return For ‘Disenchanted’
A few months back, we exclusively reported that Patrick Dempsey would be returning alongside Amy Adams in the long-in-development Enchanted sequel, Disenchanted. Now, news has come that more stars from the original are set to return.
In a recent via Zoom, composer Alan Menken confirmed that James Marsden and Idina Menzel would both be returning for the animated/live-action sequel as Prince Edward and Nancy Tremaine. You can check out the full interview below (*https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=3&v=ZuXErNCqaYY&feature=emb_title*), where Menken also discusses the highly-anticipated live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid, which is currently filming in London.
Adam Shankman of Hairspray and the upcoming Hocus Pocus sequel is set to direct. Also returning are Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz to write new songs for the film. We are also hearing that the character of Morgan, Robert’s daughter, will be returning as well, though no casting has been confirmed. The studio is also looking for an actress to play a new villain in the film.
Brigette Hales is attached as a writer, alongside director Adam Shankman. Hales previously has worked on Once Upon a Time for ABC and the Stephen King miniseries 11.22.63. Other writers include Richard Lagravenese (P. S. I Love You), Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber (500 Days of Summer). Previous drafts have been written by Jessie Nelson (Fred Claus), Rita Hsaio (Mulan), Annabel Oakes (Grease: Rydell High), and David Stem and David Weiss (Shrek 2).
The film will be shooting in Ireland and Los Angeles starting later next month and is expected to wrap in August 2021. Disney has yet to announce a release date for the film, which will be exclusive to Disney+, but a 2022 release seems likely.
La notizia è riportata da Alan Menken.
Dal sito https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuXErNCqaYY, parla Alan Menken:
Q: Is there anything about the Enchanted sequel that you could let us know about?
Alan Menken: It's really good. I don't think I'm allowed. It's filming. Amy Adams is in it. Patrick's in it. Idina Menzel is in it. Jimmy Marsden... They're in it. [...] The sequel to Enchanted is in pre-production but it's going to start filming very soon. It's in Dublin. [...] Disenchanted is basically done [in terms of songwriting] but I'm still writing the score.
Sarebbe davvero interessante confrontarsi.
Le riprese iniziano presto, tra poche settimane.
Dalla pagina http://instagram.com/adamshankman/:
So I’m about to start shooting the sequel to the incredibly beloved movie Enchanted in a few weeks starring some brilliant actors with an extraordinary new score by @alanmenken and @wickedschwartz that I have gotten to choreograph my brains out to and a wickedly funny and emotional script by @inktankgirl and @rlagravenese. I just need a minute to breathe and take this all in.

Exclusive: New Story Details for ‘Disenchanted’; Seven Dwarfs Will Appear
The DisInsider has learned some exclusive information regarding the upcoming film Disenchanted, starring Amy Adams. We now know the premise, newly revealed characters, and more for this sequel to the 2007 film Enchanted.
The film will see Giselle, Robert, and Morgan moving to a new house in the suburbs, overseen by Malvina Monroe, the main villain of the film. After problems begin to arise, Giselle makes a wish to transform their lives into a perfect fairytale. However, the spell backfires dramatically and puts Giselle in a rush against the clock to save both her family and her Kingdom of Andalasia before the clock strikes midnight.
Returning characters from the original film include Giselle, Robert, Prince Edward, and Nancy Tremaine played by the already confirmed Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Idina Menzel, respectively.
Though Morgan will also be returning, it seems that she will be played by a new actress for this film as Rachel Covey is now too old to play the character. The chipmunk Pip will return as well, though it is unclear who will voice the character this time around (director Kevin Lima and Jeff Bennett shared the role in the original).
We have also learned that Snow White’s seven dwarfs- Grumpy, Happy, Sneezy, Sleepy, Dopey, Bashful, and Doc- will play a pivotal role in the film including a musical number.
Filming will take place this summer in Ireland, with production scheduled to wrap in August. It will release exclusively on Disney+, likely sometime in 2022.
