Alan Menken avrebbe riferito che potrebbe esserci in ballo un remake musical live-action di Il Gobbo di Notre Dame.
Da GWNews: Alan Menken hints Hunchback of Notre Dame remake Alan Menken has hinted 'The Hunchback Of Notre Dame' could be made into a live-action remake. The iconic composer - who is known for his musical scores for hit Disney animated movies including 'Aladdin' and 'Beauty and the Beast' - has kept tight-lipped about which classic tale the studio is set to reboot, but he wants to see the French story remade. Speaking to NME, Menken, who also composed the original animation, said: "I can't say anything yet but I think 'Hunchback' would make an amazing live-action musical." Based on the novel by Victor Hugo, the story follows deformed Quasimodo, who lives in the bell tower of the Parisian cathedral, and wishes to go down to live with the rest of society. However, his guardian, the evil Judge Claude Frollo wants to keep him locked away and rid the world of hellish beings. When Quasimodo meets the beautiful Esmeralda, he is persuaded to help her and the rest of the gypsies from their fate at the hands of Frollo. This project would join Disney's ever growing franchise of live-action reboots which has seen 'Maleficent', 'Cinderella', 'The Jungle Book' and most recently, the box office smash 'Beauty and the Beast'. Among the other remakes being lined up are 'The Lion King', 'Mulan', 'Dumbo' and 'The Little Mermaid'. Director Tim Burton recently revealed Colin Farrell, Danny DeVito, Eva Green and Michael Keaton will all appear in his reimagining of the flying elephant 'Dumbo'. The movie - which will also include animated elements - will all be filmed in England and is currently scheduled for release in the US on March 29, 2019. 'Dumbo' is one of the classic Disney films, which tells the story of a ostracized baby elephant who strives to prove his worth after he is mocked for having big ears. For the live-action adaptation, Ehren Kruger has written the script and is also producing alongside 'Tron: Legacy's' Justin Springer. |

Rumor:
Da We Got This Covered: Game Of Thrones Star Being Eyed For Hunchback Of Notre Dame Remake With Aladdin behind them and The Lion King arriving next week, Disney are pressing ahead with their endless stream of live-action (or CGI) remakes of their classic animated movies. We’ve previously brought you the news that the studio is working on a new Hercules, possibly with Alexander Skarsgard in the lead, and now we’ve got some info on their upcoming revamp of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Deadline reported at the beginning of the year that Disney was developing the remake, to be titled simply Hunchback, with Josh Gad attached as producer. This led many to theorize that the Beauty and the Beast actor may also play the lead. Well, We Got This Covered has been told that this is indeed the likely scenario. On the other hand, we’ve also heard who Disney is eyeing for another key role: Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is being considered for the part of Captain Phoebus. In the 1997 animated film, Phoebus – ally to Quasimodo and love interest of Esmeralda – was voiced by Kevin Kline. Coster-Waldau would certainly be a good fit for a tougher iteration of the character, perhaps slightly closer to the darker version from the original novel and other adaptations. We haven’t got hold of any other names at present, though, so it’s anyone’s guess as to who Disney is looking at for Esmeralda and the villain of the piece, Judge Frollo. Social media has often pointed to Gal Gadot being a good fit for the former, but others are hoping that a Romani actress is cast in the part, seeing as Esmeralda’s ethnicity is key to her character in the original. But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. For now, you can catch The Lion King in cinemas from July 19th, with Mulan being the next remake to drop on March 27th, 2020. Tell us, though, are you interested in a new Hunchback of Notre Dame? Have your say in the comments section below. |

Caspita, questi sono due nomi belli importanti... la Disney potrebbe attirare un sacco di gente al cinema solo per loro due |
