Dopo Malefica ecco Crudelia
info qui http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-visi...-cruella-639169 Disney Preps Live-Action Cruella de Vil Film (Exclusive) UPDATED: The writer for the studio's live-action "Cinderella" has been hired to pen the script for what is being titled "Cruella." After making a movie centered on Maleficent, the villainess from Sleeping Beauty, Disney is setting its sights on another bad lady: Cruella de Vil. Aline Brosh McKenna has been hired to pen Cruella, which will bring the dog-fur-loving fashionista from 101 Dalmatians into a live-action feature to be produced by Andrew Gunn, who produced Sky High and Bedtime Stories for the studio. McKenna will also produce. De Vil first appeared in Dodie Smith's 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians but became a Disney icon with the 1961 animated movie. And it's not the character's first incarnation in a live-action feature. Glenn Close memorably played the character in 1996's 101 Dalmatians and the 2000 sequel, 102 Dalmatians. In fact, Close is in involved with Cruella, acting as an executive producer. Sadly, the studio is keeping its latest take on the character locked in the dog pound. Cruella would be Disney's latest live-action take on one of its classic animated films. In addition to Alice and Maleficent, Disney is making Cinderella, which just began principal photography with Kenneth Branagh in the director's chair. McKenna already worked for Disney by penning the Cinderella script. The screenwriter, who may be best-known for adapting The Devil Wears Prada, also worked on Annie, which is now casting. She is repped by CAA. Messaggio modificato da Daydreamer il 23/3/2021, 20:10 |

Dal sito The DisInsider:
EXCLUSIVE: Disney Looking At People Of Color For The Role Of Jasper In CRUELLA Almost two years ago it was reported that Emma Stone signed on to star in a Cruella De Vil origin story tentatively titled Cruella with Alex Timbers (Mozart In The Jungle) set to direct. Since then we have heard almost nothing on the project. Now we have learned some interesting details on a classic character. We have learned that Disney is looking for an African American to take on the role of Jasper. Partner of Horace (Who is expected be caucasian) and would go on to be Cruella’s henchmen. Disney is not afraid to make racial changes to any of their classic animated films. As we reported a little over a month ago that the studio is looking at people of color for roles in their live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid. Estella (Cruella De Vil) lives on the streets of 1970’s London with other hoodlums, where we learn the real origins behind Estella’s hatred of Dalmatians. Production on the film is expected to begin at the end of the year but as of right now, there is no release date set for Cruella. However in the meantime, there is plenty to look forward to from Disney, as later this year they will bring us Christopher Robin, Nutcracker and the Four Realms and Mary Poppins Returns. Additionally, the studio has three live-action/remakes currently in post-production with Dumbo, Aladdin, Lion King, and also the holiday film Noelle, all set for release in 2019. Although, that’s not the only projects Disney reportedly have on the slate, as Mulan, The Jungle Cruise, Maleficent 2, Artemis Fowl and Sword In The Stone will start production this year. |
