L'idea si basa sul fatto che "se fossero state prodotte delle fotografie dei personaggi negli anni 70, come sarebbero state?"... da qui l'artista si è sbizzarrito a presentare i cattivi in prima linea.

Vintage 1970s photographs of Disney villains: a timeless glimpse into the dark side of the magic kingdom

Disney has always been known for creating unforgettable characters that have captured the hearts of millions. But while many of these characters are beloved heroes and heroines, there are also those who have become infamous for their wicked ways. These villains have become an essential part of the Disney canon, and their images have been etched into the memories of generations of fans.

In the 1970s, Disney released a series of promotional photographs featuring some of their most iconic villains. These vintage images provide a fascinating glimpse into the dark side of the Disney universe, showcasing characters such as Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, Captain Hook, Guston, the Queen of Hearts, Claude Frollo, Mother Gothel, Lady Tremaine, Ursula, Jafar, the Evil Queen, Shan Yu, and Hades.

One of the most striking things about these photographs is the attention to detail that went into creating each character’s look. From Cruella De Vil’s fur coat to Maleficent’s horns, every element of these villains’ appearance is carefully crafted to convey their sinister nature. The images are rendered in rich, saturated colors that give them an almost otherworldly quality, as if the villains are not quite of this world.

Another noteworthy aspect of these photographs is the way they capture each villain’s unique personality. From Captain Hook’s flamboyant pose to Ursula’s seductive stare, each character’s posture and expression tell a story about who they are and what they stand for. Even the Queen of Hearts’ haughty glare conveys her arrogance and entitlement, while Jafar’s sly smile hints at his devious nature.

Of course, these vintage photographs also remind us of the enduring popularity of these villains. Decades after their debut, characters like Maleficent and Ursula continue to captivate audiences and inspire new interpretations in film and television. And while we may love to hate them, there’s no denying the impact that these villains have had on popular culture.

These vintage 1970s photographs of Disney villains offer a fascinating look into the darker side of the magic kingdom. With their attention to detail, striking imagery, and unforgettable characters, these images have become an iconic part of the Disney legacy. Whether we love them or loathe them, there’s no denying the enduring impact of these legendary villains.
