(Ragazzi il sito dice che in queste ore c'è un evento in cui la Disney sta annunciando i suoi prossimi progetti futuri...!!! Speriamo sputino fuori qualche news di Raperonzolo, Tiana e Merida!!!)

Noi speriamo che non cambino per l'ennesima volta le date di uscita di Tiana e Raperonzolo... insomma non se ne può più! certo che se ci mostrano qualche nuova immagine (magari Naveen, Charlotte e altri per "Frog" e qualche bellissima immagine per Raperonzolo!) saremmo contentissimi!!! e speriamo anche qualcosina per Merida...

Comunque adesso avranno posticipato al 2012 o Newt o The Bear and the Bow... uno dei due progetti avrà problemi di realizzazione o semplicemente avrà più lavori da fare...

Tra i due forse hanno posticipato Newt, almeno a caldo ci viene da pensare a questo perché Merida esce a dicembre e c'è più tempo per la realizzazione, però è anche vero che Brenda Chapman è una perfezionista (alla Glen Keane) e fino a quando il film non è come vuole lei, lo rielabora... mah vedremo...

Pare che il titolo del film sarà:
“Cars 2: World Grand Prix”
La divisione Disney dedicata al merchandising spera di fare di questa "franchise" un grande successo, paragonabile al marchio Disney Princess per le bambine...Presto infatti sarà on line un sito dedicato interamente alle macchinine, sull'esempio delle Princess appunto, o delle Disney Fairies di Trilli & Compagnia...

Beh era ovvio che facessero un brand specifico...mi basta vedere quanto appeal hanno Saetta & co con mio figlio di 3 anni...non dimentichiamoci che le principesse e le fate sono tipicamente dei brand femminili e winnie pooh è un brand per bambini piccoli, perciò Cars potrebbe essere un fattore di attrazione proprio per i maschietti che da sempre giocano con le macchinine! Secondo me meglio questo che i Power Rangers che personalmene mi chiedo ancora cosa centrino con la disney!

Well, then we go to 2011, which for the first time will have two Pixar films in one year. The first will be the summer release of "Cars 2" and the later will be a holiday release of Pixar's first fairy tale: "The Bear and the Bow." One of the reasons the new "Winnie the Pooh" film is coming out in spring is because Bear already has the traditional Disney holding place. But let's start with Lightning McQueen's return first.

I will state confidently that "Cars 2" will not be a bomb, in fact, it's going to make far more money that the original. The first one passed the 400 million dollar mark, which is nice, but not what most were expecting from the Lamp. But what many people don't realize is that the merchandising from the film generates over 2 billion a year and has so far made the Mouse 5 billion plus. There are a lot of kids out there with shoes and backpacks and a ton of other licensed products that have indoctrinated a whole lot of young boys. This film will make bank. And the merchandise associated with it will probably get the Disney company through the current recession.

Empire Magazine ha partecipato a una presentazione Disney/Pixar a Londra nella quale John Lasseter in persona ha portato alcune clip e notizie di Toy Story 3, Cars 2 e altri film della casa di Topolino.

Lasseter ha poi parlato di Cars 2 (estate 2011) svelando finalmente alcuni dettagli della trama. Saetta McQueen (Owen Wilson) e i suoi amici sono in giro per il mondo per partecipare alla Corsa dei Campioni: cinque piste in cinque paesi diversi, con diverse corse speciali: Formula Uno, Rally e così via. La prima pista è a Tokyo, si parte dal Monte Fuji e si arriva in città; poi c'è una corsa in Germania attraverso la Foresta Nera, poi tocca a "Porto Corsa" in Italia, basato in parte sul Gran Premio di Monte Carlo, successivamente una corsa di 24 ore a Parigi e infine una corsa mozzafiato a Londra, che termina vicino a Buckingham Palace (dove le Guardie sembrano essere interpretate da Land Rover!). In realtà, però, le corse non rappresentano la vera trama del film, che ruota più sulla simpatica figura di Mater, il quale finisce coinvolto in un caso "Hitchcockiano" di scambio di identità, salva la vita a un agente segreto inglese chiamato Finn McMissile (una Aston Martin) e finisce imbrogliato in un vero e proprio thriller di spionaggio.

La data è sempre stata quella. Si sono sbagliati a riportare le parole di Iger e hanno diffuso la notizia che era stato spostato a dicembre. Insomma tutta una incomprensione.

Come molti film Pixar, anche Cars 2 sta soffrendo qualche problema di storia. Per indirizzare il team verso la strada giusta John Lasseter sta lavorando stabilmente agli studi di Emeryville come co-regista ufficioso. Questo spiega anche il perchè per un paio di settimane non farà visita agli animation studios di Burbank

Now, before I begin I want to remind you that all films have bumps in the road on their way to the screen. The storied history "Ratatouille" being the one that comes closest to mind. But believe it or not, many Pixar films had problems in their development and some right up until the final year of production (Toy Story 2 anyone?). So with that mentioned, on we go.

If you were to wonder the halls of the Hat Building right now you'd find something unusual. Something that hasn't happened in a good while. I'd say almost a couple of years. Each week you could usually find John Lasseter walking the halls at least once, more likely twice a week as he hurried from meeting to meeting before he headed off to Glendale or some other meeting. But the last month or so he's not been seen that much. And he won't be for another month or so. See, he's been stuck up in Emeryville working on "Cars 2" so that it's ready for release next year. There have been story problems that have developed late last year and into the new year that needed to be addressed. So as of now, John is riding the film as co-director. Now, will he be listed in the credits as that when the film comes out? Not yet determined if he'll get his name up there with that label. We will see as time starts to move closer to the release date.

This doesn't mean doom and gloom for those that look for signs of the Apocalypse. It means that this film, like many before it, needed John's attention and this is a film that is still almost a year and a half out. Things have to be dealt with and his valuable talent was needed to adjust some of the plot points. All this really means is that the story will be better with him involved. So this is a tune up, not a wreck like some of the e-mails I've gotten were worried about.

Avranno anche problemi di storia ma alla fina ottengono sempre dei capolavori dal punto di vista sia tecnico che narrativo!

Lee Unkrich dice su twitter che a Cars 2 sarà abbinato uno dei corti della serie Toy Story Toons, realizzati alla Pixar Canada. Pare però che questo corto non sostituirà il solito corto originale, ma sarà un'aggiunta. Due corti, wow!

In ogni film Pixar si intravede sempre il protagonista di qualche film ancora in fase di sviluppo, questa volta (in Toy Story 3) tocca a Finn McMissile, una macchina inglese (agente segreto) che giocherà un ruolo importante in Cars 2, in uscita il prossimo anno.

Cars 2 uscirà anche in Imax. L'annuncio segue gli ottimi incassi ottenuti da Toy Story 3 nei cinema a schermo gigante. Speriamo che in Italia ne aprano presto qualcuno!

After examining composer Michael Giacchino's remarkable career, Variety reports on his next project: "He's already begun work on Cars 2 for Pixar founder John Lasseter; he will finish in the spring."

Surprise! Until now, it was assumed that Pixar would follow tradition and have Randy Newman return to score the sequel. His work on Cars was perfect for the film ("The Big Race" is fabulous).

But Cars 2 will have a vastly different setting - international adventures instead of Radiator Springs. A soundtrack by another composer may be just the thing to reinforce that feeling.
