Curioso che non fosse già stato aperto un topic per questa serie. Apriamolo con una notizia boom, Henry Cavill lascia il ruolo di Geralt di Rivia con la quarta stagione e sarà interpretato dal fratello di Thor, Liam Hemsworth!

‘The Witcher’ Season 4 Recasts Geralt of Rivia With Liam Hemsworth, Henry Cavill to Exit Series

“The Witcher” will be returning for Season 4 on Netflix, though the hit fantasy series will be missing one familiar face. Henry Cavill will exit the series after the upcoming third season, with Liam Hemsworth set to take over the lead role of Geralt of Rivia.

The streamer announced the news on Saturday afternoon, with both Hemsworth and Cavill releasing statements regarding the shift in casting.

“My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures, and alas, I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for Season 4,” Cavill said in a statement on Instagram. “In my stead, the fantastic Mr Liam Hemsworth will be taking up the mantle of the White Wolf. As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam’s take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men. Liam, good sir, this character has such a wonderful depth to him, enjoy diving in and seeing what you can find.”

“As a Witcher fan I’m over the moon about the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia. Henry Cavill has been an incredible Geralt, and I’m honoured that he’s handing me the reins and allowing me to take up the White Wolf’s blades for the next chapter of his adventure,” Hemsworth’s statement reads. “Henry, I’ve been a fan of yours for years and was inspired by what you brought to this beloved character. I may have some big boots to fill, but I’m truly excited to be stepping into The Witcher world.”

Del resto pensavamo che Cavill che tornerà a fare Superman non avrebbe potuto conciliare il ruolo dell'uomo d'acciaio con quello di The Witcher per i tempi di registrazione della serie...

La prima stagione è stata entusiasmante, la seconda è apparsa meno a fuoco e più calante e standard. Capita spesso, confido che con la terza ci sia una sferzata verso l'alto. Sicuramente il recast ha dato un'iniezione di novità e curiosità inaspettata. Solo per questo la terza stagione avrà successo, perché un arrivederci a Cavill. Ma sfido che anche la quarta lo sarà, perché tutti vorranno vedere il nuovo attore cosa apporterà al personaggio. Io sarò tra quelli.

dobbiamo recuperarla... le donne hanno ruolo o sono subordinate? sarà che nei fantasy ci piace vedere donne protagoniste (e anche un po' di romanticismo)...
e a livello scenografico com'è? nel senso ha una buona resa o è tutto molto artefatto? ci sono castelli, ampi spazi e così via? sarà che le serie fantasy americane le troviamo piuttosto "finte" e questo ci spiazza sempre un po'... se i film sono buoni sulle serie tv vediamo spesso ambienti troppo finti, fatti di baracche ecc... e spesso vediamo che se sono medievali fantasy mettono tanto inverno dentro, tanti luoghi freddi (castelli spogli, baracche, ecc) e poca cura nell'estetica...

Donne molto forti e protagoniste e l'amore c'è. Tormentato. Set a metà di quello che scrivete, non è certo Il Signore degli Anelli, più vicino al Trono di Spade e Ruota del Tempo.
