Nick Fury.

Neal McDonough Talks Captain America Sequel And Potential Nick Fury Movie!

Confidently dotting on previously-considered directions for the Captain America: The First Avenger sequel, make the jump for a chat with 'Dum Dum Dugan' actor Neal McDonough

Recently chatting with I Am Rogue, the actor behind 'Dum Dum Dugan' of Marvel and Joe Johnston's Captain America: The First Avenger movie, Neal McDonough, confidently discussed a previously-stated direction for the sequel. Peaking IAR's interest by stating, "It was a blast to play him and I still look forward to Cap 2, Nick Fury or any other films in the future," the site got the actor to talk more about the potential Nick Fury movie, as well whether he was considered to appear in The Avengers.

On how 'Dum Dum Dugan' could end up in near-present day in a Nick Fury movie...
"In the origin with Dum Dum, he got a small portion of the super serum himself and he was actually the head of S.H.E.I.L.D. until four or five years ago. So he aged really slowly. He aged quicker than Nick and quicker than Steve Rogers did but he aged quite slowly. He was chronologically frozen him self for ten years. So there are all kinds of stuff that I’ve read in the comic books but who knows how they’re going to do it. I know they are going to go back to WWII in Cap 2. You know in flashbacks but past that I’m not sure. Also what would make me happier than a pig in poop would be to be part of and see Sam Jackson as a ‘60s or ‘70s version of Nick Fury. That would just be awesome. Hopefully we’ll get that one done soon. I know Sam is very excited about it."

On whether there was talk for him to appear in The Avengers...
"No, with The Avengers I think they wanted to go with the core characters first and I have no problem with that. Just to be part of the Marvel universe at all is such a blessing. It’s been fantastic. If I do ten more of these or one more of these, I’ve already been part of Captain America and that’s like a dream come true."

On Marvel Studios' direction for the Captain America sequel...
"Yeah the talk now is that they are going to flashback to WWII and without going to much into, because I’m not supposed to say too much at all, but whatever they do I guarantee you this … it’s going to be an awesome movie. The villain is going to be crazy, and it will be really terrific. The origin of Cap being in WWII is definitely paramount to the guys over at Marvel."

So, judging from this interview, it seems Marvel may have a few solid directions for the Captain America sequel, including the decision to use WW2 flashbacks, as well who the Captain will be going up against. So, if plans are set this early on, could Chris Evans' offhand mention of Marvel planning the sequel for 2014 be more than accurate? What do you think?

News:

Neal McDonough Once Again Hints at 'Dum Dum' Starring In a Solo Nick Fury Movie

Seemingly more certain he'll star alongside Samuel L. Jackson in aNick Fury solo film, 'Dum Dum Dugan' actor Neal McDonough once again dots on that & Captain America 2

Further promoting Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger blu-ray & Dvd release now a video interview with ABC News, 'Dum Dum Dugan' star Neal McDonough once again seems certain he'll appear in a solo film centered on Samuel L. Jackson's ' S.H.I.E.L.D. Director, Nick Fury.' Dotting briefly on that potential film as well the Captain America sequel near the 2:20 mark.

"Oh yeah, Cap 2 is in the works. The script is written and hopefully we will go into production fairly soon. I'm really looking forward to the Nick Fury films. Sam Jackson and myself will be partners in that one. And I know Sam is really excited about doing it. So fingers crossed we start that one up pretty soon."

I know this isn't much, but from McDonough's certainty that he'll appear, and Jackson's "excitement," I wouldn't be too shocked if Neal has met up with Marvel Studios not only about Captain America 2, but the Nick Fury film as well. Andrew W. Marlowe, who penned a screenplay for the solo movie a few years back, suggested at last year's San Diego Comic-Con that the Nick Fury would surely be released after The Avengers. So, could McDonough's expressions hint a further development? What do you think?

News:

Neal McDonough Says CAPTAIN AMERICA 2 To Shoot By Year's End, Teases NICK FURY Solo Movie

McDonough, who played Dum Dum Duggan in Captain America: TFA, reckons production on a sequel to that movie will commence by the end of this year, and he also says he will appear in the Nick Fury movie with Sam Jackson..

In an interview with IMDB Tv Blog about season 3 of Justified, Neal McDonough reveals a few tasty details on the Captain America sequel and that solo Nick Fury flick we had heard was on the cards. He says as soon as Thor 2 has wrapped up it will be straight on to Cap, and that he is really looking forward to Nick Fury for the chance to act alongside his friend Samuel L. Jackson..

Q: I understand you're going to reprise your CAPTAIN AMERICA role.

McDonough: Yeah, they’re planning (to go into production for) for the end of this year, because Marvel does one film at a time. So they’re going to do THOR 2 and as soon as THOR has wrapped, they’ll do CAP 2. Hopefully right after that, we’ll jump into NICK FURY because that’s the one I’m looking forward to more than anything.

Q: Why is that?

McDonough: Because it’ll be me and Sam Jackson. In the real Marvel universe, Dum Dum Dugan is Nick Fury’s right hand man…And I just pray that they have a 1970s setting, because I want to see Sam Jackson with lambchops kicking people’s asses for Marvel universe. It would just be awesome. And to work with Sam would be a treat. We’ve become friendly over the years.

Q: It sounds like you were a fan of the comic beforehand.

McDonough: Absolutely. I’m very well aware of the Marvel universe, and to be part of it is such a blessing. To go back to London and shoot there for four months, that was just a great year.

Perché i protagonisti saremo io e Samuel L. Jackson.

Secret Marvel Superhero Movie Plan To Culminate In 2017

If you're excited by the prospect of Thor, Captain America, and finally The Avengers in 2012, then this'll be big news for you. The Avengers isn’t the end. Marvel's President of Consumer Products, Paul Glitter, has made a vague but very interesting statement. According to Bleeding Cool, Glitter told Advertising Age, a trade mag, that Marvel's next "big plan" will come to fruition in 2017. Unfortunately, he refused to give more details than that.

Sure this is barely news, but it still opens up a whole world of possibilities for comic book movie fans. BC was quick to hope for a Civil War film (or films), and I definitely agree. In Marvel lore, the Civil War is a crossover storyline in which almost all of Marvel’s heroes collide in one big, plot. The hope here is that the success of The Avengers will tie together all the Marvel films, and more importantly, make mainstream audiences comfortable with the idea of the universe as a whole. If that comes to pass, the Civil War event had some amazing moments, not the least of which being one of the most dramatic character deaths ever in comics.

Of course, doing this means that Marvel would probably need to grapple with copyright issues. Civil War involves characters they don’t currently control like X-Men over at Fox and Spider-Man which is currently controlled by Sony Pictures. But since we’re talking about a plan as far off as 2017, that might give Marvel the time they need to find a way to work with, or get the characters away from, Sony and Fox. If the new Origins films and the Spider-Man reboot fail to make waves at the box office, this might not be as impossible as it sounds.

Civil War just one possibility though. Marvel could have anything in mind here. Skrull? House of M? World War Hulk? Who knows! What’s great is that they have a plan and The Avengers is just the beginning.

Nick Fury Movie Rumors: Why It Could Be True

Nick Fury has been in the news this week, as Marvel released some new images spotlighting Fury in The Avengers and rumors emerged of a possible Nick Fury movie. In an interview with IMDB, Neal McDonough, who played Dum Dum Dugan in Captain America: The First Avenger, said that Marvel Studios planned to start shooting Captain America 2 at the end of the year. But the real bombshell was when he added, “Hopefully right after that, we’ll jump into Nick Fury because that’s the one I’m looking forward to more than anything.”

The reason that McDonough is excited about a Nick Fury movie is because in the comic books Dum Dum Dugan is Nick Fury’s right hand man, so such a movie could mean a lot more screen time for McDonough. Of course, saying that one hopes that Marvel Studios will shoot a Nick Fury movie next isn’t exactly confirming that a Nick Fury movie is in the works. While Marvel Studios has two mystery movies on their schedule for 2014, one of those is assumed to be Captain America 2 and most of the speculation about the other mystery movie has revolved around either Dr. Strange or Ant-Man.

However, before we write off McDonough’s comments as just wishful thinking, there are some compelling arguments that could be made that a Nick Fury movie is in the works. Remember back in 2009, when it seemed like Samuel L. Jackson was unhappy with Marvel and might not be returning as Nick Fury. Then, Jackson suddenly signed a nine movie deal with Marvel Studios. Wonder what Marvel Studios had to do to get Samuel L. Jackson to come around so quickly? Would Jackson have been satisfied with back-up roles in nine movies? Or did Marvel commit to a Nick Fury movie to get Jackson to sign the deal?

Marvel Studios also recently shuffled around their 2014 release schedule. One of Marvel’s two mystery movies is now scheduled to be released on April 4, 2014 and the other is scheduled to be released on May 16, 2014. While it might seem odd to schedule two superhero movies so close together, it could make sense if one of them isn’t a traditional superhero movie. McDonough also mentioned that he hoped the Nick Fury movie would have a seventies setting, so he could see Samuel L. Jackson with lambchops. If a Nick Fury movie has more of a seventies secret agent theme, then it could help prevent people from getting superhero overload from two Marvel Studios movies released so close together. With the two Marvel movies coming early in the summer of 2014, it would also seem to open up the possibility of another Marvel movie in late summer or fall, which could fit with the Dr. Strange movie or Ant-Man movie rumors.

•The Muppet's...
•Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, il film con Steve Carell e Jennifer Garner, uscirà il 10 ottobre 2014,

Ci arriveremo?

...nel 2015 usciranno The Avengers: Age of Ultron e il film di Ant-Man.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Ed infatti è apparso in quasi tutti i film dei Marvel Studios, anche in piccoli camei: Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America - Il Primo Vendicatore, The Avengers e il prossimo Captain America: The Winter Soldier, senza contare Avengers: Age of Ultron (e l'amichevole partecipazione in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). E' tutto quel che so.
