Dal sito We Got This Covered:

The studio is reportedly developing a Moon Knight movie at last. We Got This Covered has heard from a source – the same one who told us that Taskmaster will be the villain in Black Widow, that the Endgame re-release post-credits scene would feature the Hulk, and that the real Mandarin will appear in Shang-Chi, all of which were later confirmed – that a live-action project starring the nocturnal crusader is in the very early stages of development. As such, it will likely be a while before it’s officially confirmed and its existence will probably be denied by Kevin Feige (as he so often does with unannounced films) until the studio’s ready to formally reveal it. Apparently, it could potentially end up as a TV show, likely on Disney Plus, but our source says Marvel wants it to be a movie and are hoping to head down that route with it. We’re also told that they’re trying to get a Jewish actor to portray the hero.

Dal sito We Got This Covered:

It’d be a pretty meaty role for any actor to tackle and though there’s no confirmation just yet on who may eventually snag it, we’re being told that former Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield is one of several names on the studio’s wishlist. As with all reports of this nature, we imagine both Garfield and Marvel may publicly deny this, but as mentioned above, our source has a pretty strong track record. Even revealing to us the Endgame re-release post-credits scene well before it hit theaters. As such, we’re inclined to believe them.

Dal sito We Got This Covered:

We’ve heard a couple of names that the studio apparently has on their wishlist to play the part. One is former Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield and another, apparently, is Joseph Gordon-Levitt of The Dark Knight Rises fame.

La conferma ufficiale ieri:

Dal sito DeadLine:

‘She-Hulk’, ‘Moon Knight’ & ‘Ms. Marvel’ Live-Action Series In Development For Disney+

Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk and Moon Night are joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At Disney’s D23 Expo annual confab, Marvel boss Kevin Feige announced that Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk and Moon Knight live-action series are in development at the upcoming streaming platform Disney+. All are derived from Marvel comics.

Dal sito HN Entertainment:

‘Moon Knight’ Series Rumor Suggests Villain Scarlet Fasinera aka Stained Glass Scarlet Will Appear

Our pals over at MCUCosmic have posted an early character rumor for Marvel’s Moon Knight series for Disney+.

They are claiming that a source has told them that Moon Knight’s baddie Stained Glass Scarlet will show up but the size of the role is currently undetermined.

According to a reliable source, Stained Glass Scarlet will appear in the series. I do not know if she’s the main villain or something different in the story, but she’s been a villain in the Moon Knight comics since her first appearance way back in Moon Knight #14.

Her real name is Scarlet Fasinera, a former nun that uses a crossbow as a weapon of choice but also knows martial arts and uses guns.

Moon Knight has yet to have an official showrunner/writer, director or lead actor announced. However, this could be another sign that casting is currently underway.

It’s likely we’ll see more notable villains in Moon Knight like Raoul Bushman, Randall Spector aka Shadow Knight, Carson Knowles aka Black Spectre, and Robert Markham aka Morpheus.

Here is a rundown of Moon Knight’s origin.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Marc Spector is a Jewish-American rabbi’s wayward son. As an adult, Spector had been a heavyweight boxer before becoming a U.S. Marine serving in Force Recon, afterward, he left the Marines to become a mercenary occasionally doing work for the CIA. He is a strong and skilled combatant and befriends the mercenary French pilot Jean-Paul DuChamp, whom he affectionately calls “Frenchie”. While working for the African mercenary Raoul Bushman in Egypt, the group stumbles upon an archaeological dig whose crew includes Dr. Peter Alraune and his daughter Marlene Alraune. The dig had uncovered an ancient temple where artifacts included a statue of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. Intent on looting the dig, Bushman kills Dr. Alraune. In response to Alraune’s murder, Spector challenges Bushman to personal combat and is defeated by Bushman and left to die in the sub-zero temperatures of the desert night.

The Egyptians who worship the ancient gods find Spector and carry him to their temple. Helpless before the statue of Khonshu, Spector’s heart stops. Khonshu appears to him in a vision, offering Spector a second chance at life if he becomes the god’s avatar on Earth. Spector awakens, wraps himself in the silver shroud that covers Khonshu’s statue, and again confronts Bushman. He defeats Bushman and returns to America with Marlene, Frenchie, and the statue of Khonshu. Deciding to become a crimefighter, Spector creates a silver cloaked costume, based on the silver shroud, and becomes Moon Knight aka “The Fist of Khonshu”.

Marvel Studios/Disney have yet to announce when the series will drop on Disney+.

While the series has the working title Good Faith when they hope to begin filming is currently unknown.

Other hard-canon MCU shows coming to Disney+ include The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, and She-Hulk.

Da Twitter:

#Hawkeye doesn't seem to be the priority series for Marvel.

They could be retooling behind the scenes with new creatives, waiting for schedules, or something else.

#MoonKnight taking its spot in the fall of 2021 feels like a given now.

A causa della sospensione intervenuta per la serie su Occhio di Falco, pare che Moon Knight prenderà il suo posto con l'uscita nell'autunno 2021.

Dal sito The Disinsider:

‘The Witcher’ Writer Beau DeMayo Added To Marvel Studios’ Writing Team For ‘Moon Knight’

Hot-off the record-breaking hit streaming series, The Witcher on Netflix writer Beau DeMayo has been tapped to join the writing team for Marvel Studios’ Disney+ series Moon Knight.

DeMayo added the credit to his bio on Twitter. Jeremy Slater (Umbrella Academy) will lead the writing team on Moon Knight.

Moon Knight follows Marc Spector a man who’s been shattered into 4 separate identities who come together to become the hooded crusader of vengeance: The Moon Knight. Earlier reports stated that the studio was looking for a “Zac Efron-type,” and preferably someone of Israeli descent to play Moon Knight, a report surfaced last month that Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is a name the studio is looking at for the role.

Moon Knight will debut on Disney+ and will ultimately crossover onto the big screen in future films along with Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk.

Production on Moon Knight is expected to begin April 2020 at Pinewood Studios in the UK, with hopes of 2021 debut on the streamer however no set release schedule has been announced as of yet.

Marvel's Moon Knight Rumored To Be Casting Two Major Roles

Marvel’s Moon Knight series is rumored to be casting two major roles It has been whispered by various sources that Mark Spector has already been cast and the announcement is waiting to be made. However, The Direct’s sources now say that Marvel is trying to build out the hero’s supporting cast. Specifically, they’re trying to nail down Jean-Paul DuChamp and Marlene Alraune for the Disney+ series. Now, French is Spector’s best friend and Marlene is a love interest. One would expect both to be present in an introduction story for Moon Knight. The DuChamp casting is rumored to be “20-40 (years old), White male. A stereotypical good looking, overly enthusiastic, less intelligent than average but still lovable. Actor must be fluent in French.”

Meanwhile Alraune’s casting says, “20-35 (years old), all ethnicities, female. A manipulative operative in a secret organization, capable of going from cool and tough to warm and friendly in a heartbeat.”

Previously, Comicbook.com had the chance to sit down and talk to Beau DeMayo, one of the writers on Moon Knight about the upcoming series. He could say anything about the specific plot details, but the excitement was palpable.

"All I can really say is, one, [showrunner] Jeremy Slater is a frigging badass. He's so smart. He is a great, awesome guy to work for,” DeMayo said. “And then, I know it sounds like pandering but it is so true that, as a fan coming into Marvel, it is so amazing to see the... we've heard it before with Kevin [Feige] and everybody's just... They do really care.”

"It is amazing to sit in a place where you can tell that everybody is a fan and everybody wants to deliver the best quality, the best product," he added. "And I think the vision that Kevin had and the vision Jeremy's had, I can't say what it is but I think people will really dig it… I know just as a fan, when they told me the take, I was just like, 'Oh shit, I want to watch that.'"

"He has a rich legacy that's for sure," DeMayo says. "It's funny, last week I had dental surgery and I was driving home and I told my buddy, I'm like, 'I think Marvel implanted a microphone in my tooth in preparation for any interviews, to make sure I don't say anything.'"

Moon Knight: Marvel Studios Rumored to Be Interested in Keanu Reeves for Lead Role

Casting for Moon Knight is well underway, and one new rumor suggests Marvel Studios is looking at a Hollywood fan-favorite to play the show's titular character. According to a casting grid obtained by the sleuths at The Illuminerdi, Kevin Feige and company are looking at Keanu Reeves as someone who could lead the franchise. Though it doesn't expressly state if Reeves is attached to the series or in talks for that matter, the grid reportedly says the studio is looking for an actor in their 40s to 50s to play Spector, a grizzled veteran-turned-mercenary.

Buried in the initial report is that Marvel's also close to starting production on the Disney+ series. According to the same grid, the House of Ideas is ideally hoping to start production by the end of the year, with the possibility of rolling cameras as early as November.

It should be noted that grids often times aren't something necessarily approved by studio heads and more often than not, they're something typed up and distributed by casting agents. After all, a similar situation arose when a grid surfaced that said Marvel Studios was looking for an Alison Brie-type to play She-Hulk, a role that later went to Tatiana Maslany.

The age range for Spector is certainly on the older side, especially when compared to the other heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe like Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Spider-Man (Tom Holland), and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). Even then, Reeves himself is on the higher end of the range, as he just turned 56 earlier this month.

That said, the actor is someone Marvel Studios has been in constant contact with, and setting him as Moon Knight could end up as one of the House of Idea's biggest castings to date.

“We talk to him for almost every film we make,” Feige told ComicBook.com last summer. “We talk to Keanu Reeves about. I don’t know when, if, or ever he’ll join the MCU, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it.”

Then there's a question of the actor's availability. He's currently filming The Matrix 4 for Warner Brothers, something that was delayed six months due to the global pandemic. After that, he's signed on to do John Wick: Chapter 4, and if that goes well, Lionsgate has already put John Wick: Chapter 5 into development.

Moon Knight Series: Feige Teases Hero’s Multiple Identities

During Disney’s Investor Day, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has revealed new details about Disney+’s upcoming MCU series Moon Knight, describing the series as an ” action-adventure…Indiana Jones-type story.” He also went on to confirmed that the eccentric hero’s multiple identities will be their own characters in the series. It’s interesting to note that Feige wasn’t able to confirm whether Oscar Isaac has indeed signed into the the project or not. A potential reason is that negotiations with Isaac might still be happening.

“Bringing a whole new different vibe to the MCU…The character Moon Knight is a complex vigilante who suffers from dissociative identity disorder,” Feige teased. “These multiple identities who live inside him are very distinct characters in the series. The backdrop of our story is an incredible Egyptian iconography. Egyptology is something the world’s always been fascinated by and we’re going to tap into it in a fun and bold way.”

Da The Disinsider

Two Actors Potentially Added To Marvel’s ‘Moon Knight’

Even though it’s no secret that production on Marvel’s Moon Knight is well underway, almost everything else about the series has been kept under wraps. I mean, it wasn’t until recently that the studio finally officially confirmed Oscar Isaac as the lead.

It seems as if secrecy is the new norm for Phase Four. However, it’s only given outlets credence to do a little more creative snooping. One such site is Murphy’s Multiverse. In a series of articles released today, it shared two new possible additions to the show’s cast that it uncovered as a result of such snooping: Gaspard Ulliel and Loic Mabanza.

Of the two, admittedly, there is a little bit more concrete evidence to support Ulliel’s casting. According to the acting credits listed on Hamilton Hodel’s site (the agency that represents him), the role of Anton Mogart a.k.a Midnight Man is attributed to him. You can see a screenshot from the site, courtesy of Murphy’s Multiverse below.

For those unfamiliar with the character, he is a classic Moon Knight villain in the comics. Once a petty thief, after a run in with Moon Knight that ended in him falling into toxic sewage, his face became partially deformed. As a result, he donned a mask and swore vengeance against the vigilante.

While he’s been featured prominently in numerous French films, American audiences might recognize Ulliard the most from his performance as the famed serial killer Hannibal Lector in Hannibal Rising.

Now, in the case of Mabanza on the other hand, there’s a bit more speculation. According to a few recent Instagram posts, it appears that he spent a few weeks “vacationing” in Budapest. Additionally, both he and actress May Calamawy seem to be following each other on the app. This is particularly interesting considering that Calamawy is actually one of the show’s few cast members confirmed by major trades.

Could this be a coincidence? Yes, but as Murphy’s Multiverse also points out the two have never worked together on any previous project.

Despite his acting career, Mabanza is probably most known for his work as a professional dancer. Throughout the years, he’s collaborated with Madonna, Usher, and Drake.

Is there a chance that both of these actors have joined the production? Absolutely, but being that none of this is confirmed by Marvel or any major trades, as always, we urge you take it with a grain of salt.

While Oscar Isaac recently teased that the show would be “wild,” the hype is certainly real. We’ll just have to wait a little bit longer before more official details step out of the shadows.

Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, Moon Knight will follow the adventures of a former U.S Marine with dissociative identity disorder (DID) name Marc Spector who becomes the avatar for the ancient Egyptian moon god Khonshu and a crime fighting mercenary after discovering his statue.

The Umbrella Academy‘s Jeremy Slater is both the series’ showrunner and lead writer, while Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Synchronic) will all divvy up directing duties on its six episodes.

Moon Knight will premiere sometime in 2022 on Disney+, as a part of the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

News:

* Nella serie potrebbe comparire Sharon Carter.

Dal sito The Disinsider:

Wait, What!? Sharon Carter In Marvel’s Moon Knight

You heard it here… um, er, third? Outlets (One Take News, The Ronin) are reporting that Emily VanCamp’s Sharon Carter — the fake nurse-turned-S.H.I.E.L.D. agent thrown over by Captain America for her great aunt Peggy [phew] — will have a role on the Oscar Isaac Disney+ vehicle, Marvel’s Moon Knight.

Moreover, the news is tied into confirmation of a Murphy’s Multiverse piece from a couple of weeks back.

That story speculated on actor Loic Mabanza’s inclusion on Moon Knight is more than a stunt role.

Notes on Marvel’s Moon Knight

Today, The Ronin connected three Moon Knight threads:

* Writer Peter Cameron (WandaVision) “is expected” to contribute to Moon Knight.
* Sharon Carter as played by Emily VanCamp (The Falcon and The Winter Soldier) will appear in the series.
* Mabanza is also working on the series, joined by fellow French actor Gaspard Ulliel, who will play “Midnight Man.”

In July, Murphy’s Multiverse, in setting up their report on Mabanza, posted:

Moon knight updates @moonknightnews: Actor, Loic Mabanza, is in Budapest and has been training heavily. He’s posted Instagram stories of him training at the gym Oscar trains at in Brooklyn. He follows May Calamawy, Mad Gene Media, Josh Holland, and stuntwomen, Sara Leal and Estelle Darnault.

Marvel Studios Moon Knight has filmed in near-complete secrecy in Budapest, Hungary. Other than a few fans snagging pictures with stars Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke, vert little has made its way to fans. We know May Calamawy will play a key role in the series, but like Hawke, her role is unknown at the moment, and… Somehow, after months of filming, that’s all we know…

Excited About Emily

Finally, now we “know” that VanCamp’s spectacularly two-faced Carter will join Isaac’s Marc Spector, Hawke, and Calamawy.

And folks, that ain’t so bad. No?

Moon Knight: Oscar Isaac on the ‘Most Challenging Role’ of His Career

In a recent interview with Variety, award-winning actor Oscar Isaac has once again opened up about his experience working on Marvel Studios’ upcoming Moon Knight series, revealing that the titular superhero has been the “most challenging role,” of his career. He went on to tease all the workload he has done during the project’s pre-production stage and filming, which just recently wrapped after eight months.

However, despite the risk and heavy workload that came with the role, Isaac expresses how he loved working on the series and how excited he was to come to the set every day. He also talked about the creative freedom that the studio gave him which allowed him to be able to try things he had never done before.

“Speaking with Kevin [Feige], I told him I’m going to come in with these big ideas, and if you don’t like them, that’s fair,” He said. “And immediately, we saw it all. I found so much room to do things that I’ve never done before and had been curious about and wanting to do. I could not wait to get to set, and it was the biggest workload I’ve ever had in my career and most challenging; by the sheer amount of stuff we had to do in eight months, and even yet, I couldn’t wait to get to set and work.”

Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ series Moon Knight will feature the introduction of Golden Globe winner Oscar Isaac in the titular role of Marc Spector, which marks the iconic superhero’s live-action debut and is expected to feature in future MCU films.

It is being written and developed by head writer Jeremy Slater (The Umbrella Academy). The episodes are directed by Egyptian filmmaker Mohamed Diab and Synchronic duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. In addition to leading the series, Isaac is also serving as an executive producer.

Dal sito The Disinsider:

Three New Posters Tease The Many Faces Of Marvel’s ‘Moon Knight’

With less than three weeks before Moon Knight premieres on Disney+, Marvel is showing no signs of slowing down the hype train.

Just this morning, the studio unveiled three new posters teasing three of the characters (or personalities) Oscar Isaac’s Marc Spector will have on the show.

While fans of the character might know of the character’s history with DID, or dissociative identity disorder, the posters expand on the notion that even as Moon Knight, he’ll moonlight as a variant of the character known as Mr. Knight.

A few weeks ago, Empire teased that the iteration of the superhero would appear in the series, but these posters confirm that Mr. Knight will play a much bigger role in the show than expected.

You can check out all three posters below!

Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, Moon Knight will follow the adventures of a former U.S Marine with dissociative identity disorder (DID), named Marc Spector, who becomes the avatar for the ancient Egyptian moon god Khonshu and a crime fighting mercenary after discovering his statue.

The Umbrella Academy‘s Jeremy Slater is both the series’ showrunner and lead writer, while Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Synchronic), and potentially even George Clooney will all divvy up directing duties on its six episodes.

Moon Knight will premiere on Disney+ on March 30th, as a part of the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
