Da Twitter:

@Disney's Streaming Service will make a possible original animated #LadyandTheTramp movie we still dont know if the film will be a sequel from Scamp's Adventure or a original sequel

Vedremo

Da The Hollywood Reporter

'Lego Ninjago Movie' Director Tackling Live-Action 'Lady and the Tramp' (Exclusive)

Charlie Bean would helm the live-action/CG hybrid looking to be made for Disney’s digital streaming service that will launch in 2019.

Bean has closed a deal to helm the live-action/CG hybrid remake of Disney’s animated classic, Lady and the Tramp.

Brigham Taylor, who worked on the studio’s remake of The Jungle Book, is producing the project, which is looking to be made for Disney’s digital streaming service that will launch in 2019.

The service will have four to six movies a year among content that will include film and TV offerings from Disney brands Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars.

The fact that a remake of such a marquee and essential Disney title such as Lady and the Tramp will likely head to the service is another example of how serious Disney is taking the service’s content. (The company recently hired Jon Favreau to write and exec produce a live-action Star Wars television series.)

Tramp, released in 1955, told the love story between a pampered Cocker Spaniel named Lady and a streetwise mongrel named Tramp. Lady finds herself out on the street after her owners have a baby and is saved from a pack by Tramp, who tries to show her to live her life footloose and collar-free. More doggone adventures ensue.

The centerpiece of the movie is the candlelit spaghetti dinner in an alley while two human cooks sing and play "Bella Notte," considered one of the most iconic scenes in Disney and movie history.

Andrew Bujalski penned the script for the remake.

Jessica Virtue and Chaz Salembier are overseeing for Disney.

Bean is a longtime animator who has written on Dexter’s Laboratory and Samurai Jack and directed 18 out of the 19 episodes of Disney XD’s Tron: Uprising before making his feature debut with Ninjago. Tramp now trampolines the director into the live-action world while still keeping him tethered to animation.

He is repped by Verve.

Cast di colore per il film.

Dal sito That Hashtag Show:

EXCLUSIVE: Disney Considering Actors Of Color For The Live-Action LADY AND THE TRAMP

A little over a week ago it was reported that Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid remake is considering casting actors of color for some roles. Well now that is not the only live-action remake in development looking to cast people of color.

We have learned that Disney is looking to cast people of color for their live-action Lady And The Tramp remake. The studio ideally wants to cast POC in the roles of the title characters Lady and Tramp. With VO work to get started on this month, expect some casting announcements very soon.

Lady And The Tramp is expected to begin shooting September 10, 2018 in Atlanta and Los Angeles and should wrap this fall per Omega Underground. The film is expected to have a budget of over $80 million, as it will be a CGI/live-action hybrid.

The film will be directed by The LEGO Ninjago helmer Charlie Bean, and written by Andrew Bujalski (Beeswax). Diane Sabatini (Nocturnal Animals) and Brigham Taylor (Christopher Robin) are on board as producers. The film is expected to be ready for Disney’s streaming service coming in sometime in fall 2019.

Lady And The Tramp isn’t the only remake expected to debut on Disney’s streaming service. The studio is also expected to have their live-action remake of Sword In The Stone debut on the service as well. Other films Disney is planning for the service are Noelle starring Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader, Magic Camp starring Adam Devine, as well as Stargirl, Timmy Failure, 3 Men And A Baby, and Flora and Ulysses.

Da Twitter:

Two names to keep an eye on for the voice of Tramp...

Riz Ahmed and Kumail Nanjiani

Pare che ci siano due nomi in lizza per la voce di Biagio (il Vagabondo): Riz Ahmed e Kumail Nanjiani.

Sempre da Twitter:

Disney’s LADY AND THE TRAMP remake has two working titles.

SAVANNAH and GOODBYE STRANGERS.

Sempre da Twitter:

It will be called LADY AND THE TRAMP.

Working titles are temporary titles of a project used during its development.

Il progetto aveva due titoli di lavorazione: Savannah e Goodbye Strangers. Ora comunque il titolo è Lady and the Tramp (in italiano: Lilli e il Vagabondo).

Da Deadline

Disney’s ‘Lady And The Tramp’ Reboot Sets First Cast With ‘Extras’ & ‘Sherlock Gnomes’ Actress Ashley Jensen
by Andreas Wiseman

EXCLUSIVE: Extras and Sherlock Gnomes actress Ashley Jensen is the first cast aboard for Disney’s Lady And The Tramp reboot, I understand.

Jensen has landed a supporting role in the anticipated pic voicing Scottish Terrier Jackie (in the original movie it was Jock), a loyal supporter to Lady. Disney is currently gathering lead and supporting cast on the movie, which could potentially go into production later this year.

Disney recently tapped The Lego Ninjago Movie director Charlie Bean to helm the live-action/CG hybrid update of the animated classic, which is a priority project for the studio’s as-yet-untitled streaming service slated to launch in late 2019.

The movie will be an exclusive to the service — which will include film and TV content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm — and it won’t have a theatrical run.

The 1955 original followed an upper-middle-class American cocker spaniel named Lady who meets a streetsmart, downtown stray mongrel called the Tramp, and the two embark on many romantic adventures including that iconic spaghetti smooch dinner scene.

Andrew Bujalski wrote the script for the new adaption, which Brigham Taylor is producing.

Jensen was nominated for an Emmy for her role in BBC-HBO series Extras and was also a regular on ABC’s Ugly Betty. Small screen credits also include recent Amazon original Catastrophe. Features include The Lobster and Hysteria while she has notched up a string of supporting roles in major family movies including Gnomeo & Juliet,The Pirates! Band Of Misfits and Arthur Christmas.

Dal sito WSAV 3:

Disney movie filming in Savannah to impact areas downtown

A Disney movie filming entirely in Savannah is expected to impact some downtown locations later this year. The movie, with the production title "Goodbye Stranger," will be filming in Factors Walk near Wet Willies and Johnson and Wright squares, according to the city. Filming is expected to begin September 10, lasting through December.

On Thursday, the film’s producers attended a City Council Workshop at City Hall. They told council the movie is a love story that’s set in the 1910 era. Executive Producer Diane Sabatini, with Collar Free Productions, said the team selected Savannah because of its historic architecture and beautiful squares. She added that it looks like the city is “sprinkled with magic.”

The film's crew has requested to make some cosmetic changes to their filming locations downtown. They plan to remove some sidewalk signs, bike racks and benches and add gas streetlights flags and other era-appropriate props.

Dal sito AP News:

Disney movie looking for extras for shooting in Savannah

Producers of an upcoming Walt Disney movie are looking for extras to populate the background of scenes being filmed in Savannah. News outlets report a casting call for paid background actors was scheduled for this weekend in Savannah. Filming of the project Walt Disney producers are calling “Goodbye Stranger” is expected to begin in September and continue into November.

The film’s director, Charlie Bean, told city council members at a meeting earlier this month that Savannah’s downtown historic district was the perfect setting for the movie’s “nostalgic romance.”

Dal sito Telemundo Amarillo:

Disney producers present film plan to City of Savannah

The film office and movie producers made their first presentation to city council members on Thursday. They'll be filming the entirety of the film in Savannah. The crew says the city will be easily recognizable in the final product they release sometime next year.

Filming begins Sept. 10 and will wrap up outside around Nov. 7, weather permitting. Crews will be filming on a stage until December. The estimated local impact is about $20 million. They'll also be hiring local talent and using small businesses for the project. Johnson and Wright squares will be closed at various points to shoot the movie. They'll also use a portion of River Street. You can expect the area to look nearly identical to how it would look in the early 1900s. The film crew says the authenticity of Savannah made it an easy decision to choose to film here.

The natural question is, what's the name of the film? Right now, the working title is "Goodbye Stranger." We did some digging and found a crew call website that lists "Goodbye Stranger" as a working title for "Lady and the Tramp."

Trovata la voce di Lilli che sarà quella di Tessa Thompson e trovata la voce di Bull (il bulldog) che sarà quella di Benedict Wong.

Dal sito Collider:

Exclusive: Tessa Thompson to Star in ‘Lady and the Tramp’ for Disney’s Streaming Service

Hot on the heels of her work in two of the year’s most acclaimed films, Sorry to Bother You and Annihilation, Tessa Thompson is in negotiations to voice the lead role in Disney’s live-action/CG hybrid remake of Lady and the Tramp, Collider has exclusively learned. Additionally, Doctor Strange star Benedict Wong has been set to voice Bull, an English bulldog.

The original 1955 animated classic tells the story of a female American cocker spaniel named Lady who lives with a refined, upper-middle-class family, and a male stray mongrel known as the Tramp. When the two dogs meet, they embark on a romantic adventure (think iconic spaghetti kiss) and eventually fall in love. As we previously reported, Justin Theroux will voice the Tramp, and now it’ll be Thompson chowing down on the other end of that iconic piece of spaghetti.

Kiersey Clemons (Dope) will play the character of Darling, while Emmy-nominated actress Ashley Jensen (Extras) will voice a Scottish Terrier named Jackie, who’s one of Lady’s closest friends. In the original movie, the character was named Jock.

Charlie Bean (The LEGO Ninjago Movie) is directing from a script by Andrew Bujalski, and Brigham Taylor is producing the film, which isn’t expected to receive a theatrical release, as it will be exclusive to Disney’s streaming service once it launches in late 2019.

Thompson has been in high demand ever since she starred opposite Michael B. Jordan in Creed. She was quickly cast as Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok, which made Thompson a fan favorite within the MCU, and also landed a key role on HBO’s Westworld, which bolstered her popularity among fans of elevated sci-fi — something that only increased with her turn in Annihilation. Sony clearly liked Thompson’s chemistry with Chris Hemsworth in Ragnarok, as the studio cast them as the leads in its Men in Black spinoff. The actress will soon reprise her role in Creed II, so she should end her year with a bang if all goes as planned at the box office. Look for Thompson to garner Independent Spirit Awards buzz for her turn in Sorry to Bother You, which currently boasts a 94% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. She’s represented by Greene & Associates Talent Agency, Mosaic and attorney Jeff Bernstein.

Like Thompson, Wong also co-starred in Annihilation and plays a role in the MCU, having recently appeared in Avengers: Infinity War. He recently wrapped Ang Lee‘s Gemini Man with Will Smith, as well as Armando Iannucci‘s The Personal History of David Copperfield, which stars Dev Patel as the title character. He also has the Syfy pilot Deadly Class in the can. Wong is represented by Anonymous Content and attorney Robert S. Wallerstein.

Disney had no comment on either casting.

A romance begins to blossom between the two dogs, but their many differences, along with more drama at Lady’s household, threaten to keep them apart.
