BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER – IL FILM INCLUDERÀ TANTE SCENE SOTT’ACQUA LEGATE A NAMOR? [RUMOR]

Secondo un nuovo rumor, effettivamente vedremo Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, dove ci sarà ampio spazio per le scene sott’acqua.

In occasione del Disney Investor Day il presidente dei Marvel Studios Kevin Feige ha fornito qualche dettaglio sullo sviluppo del sequel di Black Panther (2018), confermando ufficialmente che T’Challa non sarà interpretato da un nuovo attore per rispetto nei confronti del compianto Chadwick Boseman e che la pellicola – intitolata Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – esplorerà il mondo e i personaggi del Wakanda introdotti nel primo film.

Come alcuni di voi ricorderanno, lo scorso novembre l’attore messicano Tenoch Huerta, noto per aver partecipato alla serie Netflix Narcos: Mexico, è entrato in trattative per interpretare uno degli antagonisti della pellicola, che secondo alcuni rumor sarà proprio Namor il Sub-Mariner, da tempo atteso nell’Universo Cinematografico Marvel.

Successivamente un altro sito del settore ha spiegato che, potenzialmente, nel film potrebbe esserci spazio anche per altri due personaggi chiave legati al Sub-Mariner: Namora e Attuma.

Entrando nel dettaglio, Namora è la cugina di Namor (ma non di sangue) e, proprio come quest’ultimo, è per metà Atlantidea e per metà mutante ed è in grado di volare. Attuma invece è nato in una tribù di barbari di Atlantide banditi dai regni sottomarini con una forza, resistenza e velocità a dir poco straordinarie. Dopo essersi dichiarato nemico di Atlantide, si è scontrato con Namor ed ha provato a strappargli il trono.

Secondo un altro rumor condiviso dal noto insider Charles Murphy, che più volte si è rivelato una fonte affidabile, tantissime scene del film saranno ambientate sott’acqua, quindi presumibilmente ci sarà ampio spazio per Atlantide.

Naturalmente non ci sono conferme effettive in merito alla presenza di Namor e di Atlantide e, anche se lo sostengono insider solitamente affidabili, vi invitiamo a prendere le dovute cautele.

Ricordiamo che Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, scritto e diretto da Ryan Coogler (Creed), è previsto attualmente per l’8 luglio 2022 e vedrà nel cast Letitia Wright (Shuri), Lupita Nyong’o (Nakia), Danai Gurira (Okoye), Winston Duke (M’Baku), Angela Bassett (Ramonda) e Martin Freeman (Everett K. Ross) mentre Tenoch Huerta (Narcos: Mexico) è attualmente in trattative per interpretare uno degli antagonisti del film. Le riprese inizieranno il prossimo giugno sotto il titolo di lavorazione provvisorio “Summer Break“.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Kevin Feige annuncia l’inizio delle riprese

Le riprese di Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, sequel di Black Panther, sono cominciate ieri ai Pinewood Studios di Atlanta.
A confermarlo è stato Kevin Feige in persona a Variety durante la premiere americana di Black Widow, dal 7 luglio nelle sale italiane.
“È chiaramente molto commovente farlo senza Chad” ha commentato il presidente dei Marvel Studios. “Ma tutti sono emozionatissimi di riportare il mondo del Wakanda al pubblico e ai fan. Realizzeremo un film che avrebbe reso Chad fiero di noi“.
Feige ha inoltre precisato che “tutto il cast originale” tornerà nella nuova storia.

In occasione dell’Investor Day della Disney, lo scorso dicembre, i Marvel Studios hanno annunciato anche alcune novità su Black Panther: Wakanda Forever come il fatto che la pellicola non uscirà a maggio 2022 come inizialmente previsto, ma l’8 luglio 2022.

Black Panther 2: una nuova logline anticipa lo scontro tra Wakanda e Atlantide

Una nuova logline non ufficiale di Black Panther 2 potrebbe aver confermato ciò che tutti i fan si aspettano di vedere nel sequel: lo scontro tra Wakandiani e Atlantidei.

Qualche giorno fa abbiamo appreso la notizia che la produzione di Black Panther: Wakanda Forever è ufficialmente cominciata. Ora, una serie di nuovi dettagli a proposito della trama del sequel potrebbero aver finalmente confermato ciò che tutti i fan si aspettano di vedere nel film: lo scontro tra Wakandiani e Atlantidei.

Il sito Production Weekly (via The DisInsider) riporta, infatti, una nuova logline che indica che al centro della storia che sarà raccontata in Black Panther 2 ci sarà proprio la guerra tra Atlantide e Wakanda, con la conseguente introduzione del tanto bramato personaggio di Namor il Sub-Mariner. È importante precisare che non si tratta di una sinossi ufficiale diffusa dai Marvel Studios, quindi c’è la possibilità che i dettagli riportati non siano totalmente accurati.

“Sia Wakanda che Atlantide sono civiltà nascoste dotate di tecnologia avanzata e grandi capacità militaristiche che hanno deciso di separarsi dal resto del mondo per la propria sicurezza e, in un certo senso, anche per paura. Wakanda temeva che la loro tecnologia sarebbe stata abusata. Allo stesso modo, Atlantide temeva che gli abitanti della superficie venissero a profanare la mitica città proprio come fecero tanti anni fa. Eppure, queste paure si intensificano ulteriormente quando le nazioni un tempo nascoste si scontrano l’una con l’altra. Wakanda e Atlantide hanno una storia incredibilmente intrecciata. Wakanda è l’unica contea al mondo con accesso al vibranio. Tuttavia, le voci sul suo potere si diffusero in tutto il mondo e il padre umano di Namor fu inviato alla ricerca di questo raro materiale in Antartide…”

Vedremo davvero Namor in Black Panther 2?

Come ben sappiamo, non è la prima volta che il debutto di Namor nel MCU viene associato al sequel di Black Panther, quindi potrebbe davvero esserci un fondo di verità in questa nuova logline. D’altronde, già in Avengers: Endgame alcuni fan avevano scovato un possibile riferimento a Namor, all’interno di uno scambio di battute tra i personaggi di Vedova Nera e Okoye in cui si faceva riferimento ad una serie di “terremoti oceanici”. La cosa interessante è che, tempo dopo, furono proprio gli sceneggiatori del film, Christopher Markus e Stephen McFeely, a lasciar intendere che quella battuta era un velato riferimento proprio al Sub-Mariner…

‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Rumored To Have Found Its Namora

For months there have rumblings that Namor would be making his grand entrance into Marvel’s Cinematic Universe with the upcoming (and highly-anticipated) Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Now, according to a new rumor, it seems that he might not be the only Atlantean we should expect to see in the film.

Thanks to the super sleuths over at Murphy’s Multiverse, it appears that Namora is not only expected to show up, but she’s already in the process of being cast too.

In a recent article, the site says that it recently heard that actress Mabel Cadena (Netflix’s Monarca, Dance of the 41) is possibly one of the names in contention for the role.

Murphy, who wrote the article, even points out how the actress checks off a lot of the boxes that the studio seems to be looking for in the character (age, race, build), and that she and Tenoch Huerta – who is heavily rumored to be playing Namor in the film – has been actively engaging with her social media accounts.

For those unfamiliar with the character, in the comics she is both Namor’s cousin and a crucial founding member of the Agents of Atlas.

As always because this isn’t an official report – and because not even the site knows if the character has actually cast yet – we urge you to take this info with a grain of salt, regardless of how much supporting evidence there is.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently in production in Atlanta, and is targeting a release date of July 8, 2022.

Dominique Thorne Will Make Debut as Ironheart in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’

A few weeks back, The Cosmic Circus accurately reported that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever would do some shooting at M.I.T.. In their initial report, the site speculated that Riri Williams could be involved due to the characters ties to the school in the comics. Well, it has been officially confirmed.

While doing press for Marvel’s newest film, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, ComicBook.com‘s Brandon Davis spoke with Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige and he revealed that Dominique Thorne will appear in the highly-anticipated sequel before appearing in her own Disney+ series Ironheart.

“We’re shooting Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, right now, and the character of Riri Williams, you will meet in Black Panther 2 first. She started shooting, I think, this week before her Ironheart series.”

In the comics, Riri is a science genius who enrolls in MIT at the age of 15. She comes to the attention of Tony when she builds her own Iron Man suit in her dorm.

Ryan Coogler returns to direct the feature with the core cast from the film also returning, this includes Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Martin Freeman, and Daniel Kaluuya. Narcos: Mexico star Tenoch Huerta and Michaela Coel also joins the sequel, both their roles are being kept under wraps, but rumors are Huerta is playing Namor, and Coel is playing Madame Slade. Dominique Thorne will also appear as the character in Disney+’s Armor Wars series opposite Don Cheadle.

The studio has not revealed its plans on how it plans to proceed without the late Chadwick Boseman, who sadly passed away last Summer, after a long secretive battle with cancer. Although, the studio has indicated that it will not use any CGI to include the late star in the film, nor will they recast the role.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to hit theaters on July 8, 2022.

BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER – IL REGNO DI ATLANTIDE NEL MCU SARÀ ISPIRATO ALLE ANTICHE CITTÀ MAYA [RUMOR]

Il film diretto da Ryan Coogler porterà sul grande schermo la città di Atlantide, patria di Namor secondo un nuovo rumor?

Sono in corso le riprese di Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, in uscita a luglio 2022 e sequel del film vincitore di 3 premi Oscar del 2018. Dopo l’improvvisa morte del protagonista Chadwick Boseman, i Marvel Studios hanno dovuto rivedere i propri piani per questo film, che comunque cercherà di rendere onore al popolare attore. Il film sarà nuovamente diretto dal regista Ryan Coogler ed esplorerà ulteriormente la ricca mitologia del Wakanda.

Il primo film è stato un grosso successo di pubblico e critica e, fra le cose più apprezzate del film, ci furono i costumi e la rappresentazione del Regno di Wakanda. Coogler e il suo co-sceneggiatore Robert Cole si sono ispirati a città africane realmente esistenti per far sì che il Wakanda sembrasse il più verosimile possibile. Come spiegato da Cole in un’intervista a Slash Film, la produzione si è ispirata alle miniere di coltan del Congo per le miniere di vibranio, mentre, in generale, il Wakanda richiama molto il Lesotho; l’architettura si è rifatta a quelle di Uganda, Ruanda, Repubblica Democratica del Congo ed Etiopia. Anche i costumi hanno trovato ispirazione nelle molteplici culture del continente africano.

Secondo quanto riportato da The Illuminerdi (una fonte spesso affidabile) il secondo film avrà il compito di introdurre nell’MCU il personaggio di Namor e il regno di Atlantide che, per differenziarlo dal recente film su Aquaman della DC, non verrà chiamata in questo modo. Stando alle casting call, è possibile che Coogler e Cole decidano di ispirarsi alle antiche civiltà mesoamericane (come quella Maya) per creare questa nuova location.

È facile ipotizzare che la produzione metterà la stessa cura nel realizzare la mitica città di Atlantide, cercando di richiamare elementi delle culture Maya, Azteca e, in generale, del centroamerica. In particolare, The Illuminerdi ipotizza che i due si potrebbero rifare alla mitica città Tlālōcān descritta negli antichi testi aztechi come parte dei Tredici Paradisi Aztechi, un regno dove è sempre primavera e ricco di splendido fogliame e piante commestibili. In esso, finivano le persone morte a causa dell’acqua, per esempio le persone che affogavano.

Ovviamente non ci sono conferme effettive in merito, quindi vi invitiamo a prendere le dovute cautele e trattare la notizia esclusivamente come un rumor, in quanto la presenza di Namor non è ancora stata confermata.

Nei fumetti, Namor e la città di Atlantide hanno dei legami con i Devianti, una razza aliena che verrà presentata nell’MCU nel prossimo film Eternals.

BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER INTRODURRÀ IL FIGLIO DI T’CHALLA [RUMOR]

Secondo un nuovo rumor, Ryan Coogler vuole introdurre il figlio di T’Challa e Nakia in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

TheCosmicCircus riporta che nel film in uscita a novembre 2022 farà il suo debutto in live action il figlio di T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) e Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o).

Nello specifico, i Marvel Studios vogliono continuare ad onorare l’eredità di T’Challa tramite suo figlio, che ovviamente ancora non è pronto ad indossare il costume (ma potrebbe farlo anche in futuro).

Nei fumetti, T’Challa ed Ororo (Tempesta) hanno un figlio di nome Azari. Sarà questo il nome che avrà nel MCU, anche se figlio di Nakia? Solo speculazioni per ora.

Sebbene non ci siano ancora molti dettagli sul personaggio, sembra che nel film avrà una parte piuttosto limitata data la sua giovane età; tuttavia, i Marvel Studios potrebbero avere dei piani a lungo termine per lui, facendolo magari unire agli Young Avengers?

Naturalmente non ci sono conferme effettive in merito, ma il sito (gestito dall’insider Lizzie Hill) si è già rivelato molto affidabile in passato ed è stato il primo ad annunciare il casting di Will Poulter come Adam Warlock, poi confermato da James Gunn.

La lavorazione di Black Panther 2 potrebbe subire ulteriori rallentamenti per via di Letitia Wright e del suo non essere vaccinata

I problemi per Black Panther 2 potrebbero continuare a prescindere dal recente stop causato dall’infortunio a Letitia Wright.
Ma avrebbero comunque a che fare con l’attrice britannica e le sue posizioni in merito ai vaccini contro il COVID-19.
Il problema potrebbe nascere per via delle nuove regole implementate dal CDC che prevedono che tutti tutti i non-immigrati e i non-cittadini in ingresso negli Stati Uniti siano completamente vaccinati contro il COVID-19 dovendo anche dare prova del proprio status vaccinale al momento dell’imbarco su un aereo diretto negli Stati Uniti. Considerato che Letitia Wright non è né vaccinata né, tantomeno, una cittadina statunitense, questo potrebbe finire per complicare ulteriormente il suo ritorno negli Stati Uniti per le riprese di Black Panther 2 (via The Hollywood Reporter). Ovviamente, allo stato attuale delle cose e con una pausa delle riprese già in essere, non possiamo prevedere l’evolversi della situazione né fornire ulteriori dettagli.
Le posizioni della star di Black Panther 2 in merito ai vaccino sono ben note: mesi fa, Letitia Wright si è difatti trovata al centro di un discreto polverone. L’attrice aveva pubblicato su twitter, un link a un video su YouTube che metteva in discussione l’opportunità di vaccinarsi contro il Covid-19 e, più in generale, la sicurezza dei vaccini. Nel video, della durata di 64 minuti e privo di riscontri oggettivi, il presentatore esordiva dicendo “Non so nulla sui vaccini a livello medico, ma sono sempre stato piuttosto scettico”. Dopo aver condiviso il video, la Wright ha iniziato a discutere con gli utenti che la accusavano di utilizzare Twitter per diffondere “disinformazione sui vaccini”, rispondendo di non essere contro i vaccini, ma di ritenere importante “porsi delle domande”: “Penso sia giusto e corretto chiedersi semplicemente cosa contengono” (ECCO ALTRI DETTAGLI). In seguito, l’attrice aveva dovuto chiudere il suo profilo Twitter. È poi d’inizio ottobre la notizia che Letitia Wright avrebbe diffuso idee anti-vaxx sul set di Black Panther 2.

Kevin Feige Gives Update on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Filming Shutdown

Earlier this month, it has been reported that production on Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was temporarily shutdown due to Letitia Wright’s critical shoulder fracture and concussion which she sustained during its Boston filming last August. Now, studio executives Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Nate Moore have officially sent a joint statement to the cast and crew, addressing the highly-anticipated project’s filming shutdown.

In the note obtained by Deadline, Feige, D’Esposito, and Moore have confirmed that the studio is currently planning to resume the production of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever sometime in January 2022. They also went to express their gratitude to the cast and crew’s hard work and dedication on the sequel, while also acknowledging Wright for her commitment to the role despite her injuries and how hard she’s working to recover as quickly as she can to get back on set.

“We’ve adjusted our production schedule so [Letitia] has the time she needs to heal, but there’s only so much we can do without Shuri!” said the note from Feige, D’Esposito, and Moore. “We also want to thank Letitia for everything she’s doing to get back to the set – we know how much she loves this role, how tough it’s been for her to be away, and how hard she’s working to recover as quickly as she safely can. We are eagerly awaiting her return and we know we will all come back stronger together.

“Please be on the lookout for more information on your specific return-to-work date. As of now, we’re on schedule to resume filming – with Letitia – in January 2022. We are all focused on finishing the movie with excellence, honoring the memory of our dear brother Chadwick in the process. We are thrilled to share Black Panther: Wakanda Forever with the world, confident that the challenges that we have overcome together as a team will make the film even more impactful. Please take care of yourselves and enjoy the holidays.”

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is once again being directed by Ryan Coogler from a screenplay he is co-writing with Joe Robert Cole. It will see the return of most of its original main cast including Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, Letitia Wright as Shuri, and Winston Duke as M’Baku.

In addition, Tenoch Huerta (Narcos: Mexico) has reportedly been cast as the upcoming film’s antagonist, with some fans and outlets speculating that he might be playing the role of Namor. I May Destroy You creator-star Michaela Coel has also reportedly signed on for an undisclosed role.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently slated to hit theaters on November 11, 2022, over two years following the untimely passing of titular star and acclaimed actor Chadwick Boseman, who died at the age of 43 after his four-year-long private battle with colon cancer.

Spider-Man: No Way Home's ending sets up two possible MCU appearances for Zendaya's character Michelle in future Phase 4 movies and TV shows.

Spider-Man: No Way Home's ending sets up two possible appearances for Zendaya's Michelle in future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects. Audiences have had the opportunity to see Zendaya in three MCU movies to date, all of which have been part of Tom Holland's Spider-Man trilogy. Her role continued to grow with each installment as Michelle and Peter Parker grew closer. However, Spider-Man: No Way Home set up an uncertain future for MJ and Peter, allowing Zendaya to appear in other MCU projects during Phase 4.

The entire plot of Spider-Man: No Way Home revolves around Peter trying to make everyone forget he is Spider-Man so his life and the lives of those closest to him can go back to normal. This includes Michelle, who MIT rejects due to her connection to Spider-Man. Peter ultimately made the decision to have Doctor Strange erase all memories of him, which allowed Michelle and Ned Leeds to be accepted into MIT during Spider-Man: No Way Home's ending. While Michelle is likely to return for Spider-Man 4, her MCU return doesn't have to wait that long anymore.

Michelle going to MIT for college means that Zendaya could appear in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. It is confirmed that a portion of the movie takes place at MIT as part of the MCU's introduction of Riri Williams, a.k.a. Ironheart (Dominique Thorne). Although it isn't known when Black Panther 2 takes place in the MCU timeline, it most likely is set after Spider-Man: No Way Home. Michelle and Riri will both be students at MIT during this time then, so their paths could cross. Michelle could even meet Shuri or members of the Dora Milaje potentially. Either way, there is now a natural way to include Zendaya alongside Black Panther 2's predominantly Black cast.

Regardless of Zendaya's MCU future appearance in Black Panther 2, Marvel can still use Michelle's MIT connection to bring her back for Ironheart. This could be dependent on how much of Riri's Disney+ show takes place at college versus on a superhero mission or back in her hometown of Chicago. But, Zendaya appearing in Ironheart could help establish that Michelle and Riri Williams are friends after spending time together at MIT. They could even be roommates if Michelle decides not to live with Ned, which was Peter's plan.

Either of these possible MCU appearances for Zendaya would be a great opportunity for Marvel to flesh out Michelle as a character. Her role in the Spider-Man franchise hasn't allowed much of Michelle's life to be explored. She's been used as a secondary character in Spider-Man's story, but Black Panther 2 or Ironheart can dive deeper into her past, her family, her interests, and more. While Spider-Man 4 could also explore some of that, these other MCU properties might be better suited to explore various parts of Michelle, thanks to Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Marvel Studios’ Black Panther sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, just can’t catch a break. Take aside the fact that Chadwick Boseman tragically passed away over a year ago after a private battle with cancer. Letitia Wright not only brought on some controversy with her stance on the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccinations, but the actress also sustained serious injuries pausing production in late November.

While Wright has since been vaccinated, as production was getting ready to restart this week, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that production has been delayed once more, due to the omicron variant surge, which has affected multiple crew members including one of its stars. “Black Panther restarted production last week in Atlanta, only to get delayed because several cast and crew members including Lupita Nyong’o tested positive for the virus (production was set to restart this week).”

The trades in-depth report also details how Disney is going about their productions during the pandemic, even speaking with some members of those productions. Disney has seen there fair share of delays since the pandemic began nearly two years ago. As of this report, Disney still intends to have Black: Panther: Wakanda Forever set for release this November. That said, the company is keeping a close eye on things, they recently moved Pixar Animation Studios’ Turning Red, which was supposed to see Pixar’s return to theaters since Onward, to Disney+, which has brought Soul, Luca, and Encanto much success.

Ora, non per far politica (non è né la nostra intenzione né è questo il luogo per farla), crediamo che facciano bene a mettere le clausole che se si vuol lavorare (attori, troupe, ecc) devono essere vaccinati, almeno le cose vanno avanti, diversamente continuano a interrompersi sempre.

Potete non essere d'accordo però alla fin fine secondo noi non si può interrompere tutto in continuazione (ok che casi possono avvenire, il vaccino non rende immuni, però aiuta ad evitare conseguenze gravi e nelle produzioni dove c'è molta gente è normale che gli studios vogliano che la gente si vaccina, altrimenti si ritarda tutto - a Hollywood le produzioni sono tutte rallentate - e si perdono investimenti e soldi che incidono non solo su coloro in posizione apicale ma anche sui singoli lavoratori e sulle loro famiglie)

Black Panther 2 Reportedly Restricted the MCU's Illuminati Roster

Marvel Studios has a trio of highly-anticipated sequels adding to its theatrical MCU slate this year, starting off with the dimension-jumping shenanigans in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This comes before Taika Waititi's Thor: Love and Thunder in early July and the much-awaited Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in November.

Black Panther 2 is set to introduce a couple of brand-new characters into the mix, most notably including Tenoch Huerta's Namor the Submariner - an anti-hero which Marvel Studios just gained the rights to use in film. With him will come the entire lost city of Atlantis, which is also set to play a huge role in the upcoming sequel as the underwater nation engages in battle with Wakanda thanks to technology from Dominique Thorne's Ironheart.

Namor is also known as a classic member of the Illuminati from Marvel Comics, who officially made their debut in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness this past weekend. Recently, the sequel's head writer even looked at what the chances were of having Namor be a part of that group as it made its long-awaited cinematic debut.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer Michael Waldron addressed the absence of Namor the Submariner in the MCU's Illuminati during a chat with Variety.

While Namor was initially on the table for potential inclusion in the group for Doctor Strange 2, Waldron noted how "Marvel had other plans for him" in the MCU's future (which fans now know will be in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), ultimately preventing his appearance in Multiverse Of Madness:

"[We] talked about him, because he’s certainly an original member of the Illuminati. But I think Marvel has other plans for him in the MCU. And so he didn’t make his way in this particular movie."
Waldron also dove into how the Illuminati came into play, explaining how both he and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige bounce ideas off each other for whom they want to be in the group. The head writer noted how Feige was "as excited about all that stuff" as anybody else, calling the process "a big, geeky team effort" to bring that team together:

"That’s kind of a combination of us putting forth, 'Well, what if we did this?' But also, Kevin’s as excited about this stuff as we are, so sometimes those ideas are coming from Kevin saying, 'Well, what if we got so and so? I’m gonna do it! I’m gonna make the call!' So he’s as excited about all that stuff as any of us. It’s a big, geeky team effort to see what we can assemble for that team."
Waldron also revealed that it was always the plan to have Wanda Maximoff kill off the Illuminati, which he described as truly "the madness of the Multiverse." He called the moment "a great way to knock the audience off their feet" as they saw something that made them feel safe before Wanda showed just how powerful and terrifying she can truly be

"Yeah, that was there in my first draft of the script. That was the madness of the Multiverse to me, really. You introduced this superhero team that makes the audience feel like they’re finally safe, and then the Scarlet Witch eviscerates them. It was a great way to knock the audience off their feet. And then hopefully, you spend the rest of the movie terrified of Wanda and what she’s capable of."
"The Illuminati Will See You Now...Except for Namor"
Marvel fans celebrated the debut of the MCU's Illuminati in Doctor Strange 2, which included names like Hayley Atwell's Captain Carter, Patrick Stewart's Professor X, and even John Krasinski as Reed Richards. Even as exciting as that moment was, some fans noticed a lack of a certain ocean-based anti-hero who's been a part of the team on numerous occasions.

Nearly every piece of comic art depicting the Illuminati includes a version of Namor, seeing as he's one of the group's founding members going back decades. But looking at how he'll get an even bigger role in Black Panther 2 than what the Illuminati had in Doctor Strange 2, his introduction should have just as big of an impact when it comes.

It will also take away the confusion of him being potentially a Multiversal Variant, which is already being discussed with Krasinski as he could potentially play Reed Richards in Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four. The great part of it all is that Namor is confirmed to be on his way, and even if he's not a part of the Illuminati yet, he'll be a part of the MCU for the foreseeable future.

Black Panther 2, i regali alla troupe per la fine delle riprese preannunciano alcuni cambiamenti su Namor

Si torna a parlare di Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, il cinecomic dei Marvel Studios diretto da Ryan Coogler nei cinema a fine anno.
Dopo aver visto un possibile concept decisamente sfocato, oggi si parla delle origini del personaggio, che nei fumetti è di etnia atlantidea. Sembra, infatti, che nell’Universo Cinematografico Marvel il personaggio non stia destinato ad avere le stesse origini.
A svelarlo indirettamente sono stati i cappellini ricevuti dalla troupe come regalo di fine riprese e condivisi sui social. Ritratto sulla visiera c’è quello che sembra Tepeyollotl che secondo la mitologia azteca era il dio dei terremoti e dei giaguari.
Si tratta, in effetti, di una conferma di voci che già circolavano secondo cui Namor sarebbe stato originario dell’America centrale e che Atlantide sarebbe stata ritratta come una città sommersa in Messico o America centrale (questo senza considerare che lo stesso attore scelto per Namor, Tenoch Huerta, è messicano).

Sono curioso di vedere questa reinterpretazione!! Anche perché dovevano fare qualcosa di diverso da aquaman, staremo a vedere...

Esatto, è bene trovare una propria identità lontana dalla DC, quasi certo che il continente non si chiamerà Atlantide, magari Aztlàn o un nome apposito per la versione MCU.

BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER, TENOCH HUERTA HA IMPARATO IL LINGUAGGIO MAYA PER IL SUO RUOLO

[...] Seecondo quanto riportato oggi da Vice, Tenoch Huerta dovrebbe probabilmente vestire i panni dell’eroe Marvel nel film, come già riportato in precedenza, e, a riprova di ciò, la testata indica che l’attore è stato recentemente impegnato a studiare il linguaggio Maya “per un ruolo che ha girato ad Atlanta” – luogo dove si sono tenute anche le riprese proprio del secondo film di Black Panther.

Sebbene manchi ancora un annuncio ufficiale da parte dei Marvel Studios – che magari arriverà in occasione di uno dei trailer della pellicola – sembra quindi sempre più sicuro che l’attore Tenoch Huerta darà vita a Namor.
