Sì i disegni di Aladdin sono basati sui lavori del caricaturista Al Hirschfeld!

Ecco qui una prima ricerca grafica per il personaggio di Jasmine. Questo disegno è stato realizzato da Sue Nichols (cha ha lavorato ad "Hercules" e ora lavora a "The Princess and the Frog") ed è stato realizzato per la primissima versione della storia, quando ancora i nomi erano altri, il film era intitolato "Il Ladro di Bagdad" e la Principessa non si chiamava Jasmine ma Alia:
