La Disney sta pubblicando una serie di romanzi YA dedicati alle fiabe più famose.
Si tratta di una serie di storie che prevedono delle svolte nei vari racconti.
L'autrice è Liz Braswell.

Per ora ne sono usciti due, uno dedicato a Jasmine (pubblicato il 1 settembre 2015) e uno dedicato ad Aurora (pochi giorni fa, il 5 aprile 2016). La serie continua. La copertina prevede la sagoma della Principessa al cui interno vi sono elementi classici della storia a cui si riferiscono e uno sfondo colorato. I titoli invece richiamano le canzoni più famose di ogni film.

Anni fa avevamo iniziato a scrivere su questa collezione di libri mettendo i primi...
La collezione è andata avanti e continua ancor oggi.
Alcuni di essi sono pure usciti in Italia.

Biancaneve vive ritirata nel suo castello cercando di non abbattersi troppo, ma un giorno una sconvolgente verità viene a galla. Dopo Rapunzel che uscirà a settembre, il prossimo personaggio a cui sarà dedicato il libro in uscita nel 2022 è la Fata Azzurra di Pinocchio. L'autrice sarà Elizabeth Lim, che ha scritto i libri di Mulan e Cenerentola. La stessa scrittrice su Facebook ha detto che è in lavorazione un altro libro su un'altra Principessa... chi sarà? la scelta è tra Tiana, Pocahontas, Vaiana e Merida... secondo noi è Tiana

Questa saga di libri è interessantissima e speriamo che arrivino in Italia anche gli altri volumi.
Comunque una serie tv in cui ogni stagione è basata su un libro diverso sarebbe bellissima.
Spero arrivino in Italia anche quelli sulla bella addormentata e sulla bella e la bestia che vorrei recuperare.

Ho recentemente letto Specchio specchio.... lettura gradevole e rilettura della storia simpatica ma onestamente ho preferito di gran lunga l’altra serie che però non è stata tradotta in italiano.
A differenza di questo, l’altro raccontava le origini di Grimilde inserendo il racconto perfettamente in linea con quello che accade nel classico, ampliandone la storia ma senza modificarlo.
Quello che ho particolarmente detestato di specchio specchio è che la regina cattiva si chiama Ingrid... un grande no sense

Dopo il libro sulla Fata Azzurra scritto da Elizabeth Lim, ecco una nuova notizia:

- L'autrice Farrah Rochon ha rivelato su https://twitter.com/FarrahRochon/status/1363920524670296065?s=20che sarà la quarta penna della serie. Il suo primo romanzo è basato su La Principessa e il Ranocchio e in originale si intitola Almost There. L'uscita è prevista per l'autunno 2022 negli USA.

Per il mio compleanno i miei amici mi hanno regalato quello della Sirenetta.
Mi è piaciuto moltissimo,partendo dai personaggi che sono più adulti e consapevoli,e anche dai tantissimi riferimenti alla fiaba originale.
Un'altra cosa che ho amato è tutta la costituzione del mondo,e la miriade di informazioni che ci vengono date sulla società di Atlantica.
Nel libro viene anche riconfermata l'ambientazione Italiana del regno di Eric.
Viene chiarito che che quest'ultimo sia un'ex città dell'impero romano,dove sopravvivono ancora alcune strutture,come le mura e gli acquedotti,e la religione, infatti loro pregano gli dei romani.
Inoltre fanno tantissimi riferimenti all'opera,una viene addirittura composta da Eric,e viene lasciata con il nome italiano "la sirenetta" anche nell'edizione inglese.
Vorrei tantissimo leggere quello della bella e la bestia ma è ancora inedito in Italia.
Una youtuber ha detto che ad aprile dovrebbe uscire quello di aurora,voi sapete confermarmi questo?non riesco a trovare nessuna informazione in giro...

davvero esce quello della Bella Addormentata? speriamo!!!!

noi vorremmo che in Italia traducessero quello di Megara... sarebbe un buon modo per celebrare i 25 anni del film animato... e poi Megara è tra le eroine più amate di sempre (oltre che la più complessa)...

in USA dovrebbe uscire in autunno quello dedicato a Tiana

da quello che abbiamo letto dicono che il libro dedicato a Rapunzel non sia ben fatto... peccato...

Veu su you tube hanno detto così,ma non riesco a reperire la notizia da nessun'altra parte, quindi non saprei.
Io ,se non esce quello di aurora ,penso di acquistare quello di Cenerentola,che sembra interessante.
Magari traducessero quello su megara,io l'adoro,poi ho sentito che nel libro compare anche persefone,se fosse vero sarebbe fantastico!

Sì nel libro di Megara c'è Persefone... e c'è anche la mamma di Megara (di nome Thea)...
anche a noi piace tantissimo Megara!

Comunque speriamo traducano anche quello di Aurora che è sempre bello leggere storie ambientate nell'universo della Bella Addormentata nel Bosco che secondo noi è la fiaba con lo stile più fiabesco che sia stata realizzata...

che bello che escono anche questi due romanzi!

quello di Aurora ci incuriosisce molto... quello di Rapunzel è molto particolare, l'autrice ha usato sia esperienze della propria vita sia personaggi storici (la Contessa Bathory)...

speriamo che il prossimo ad essere pubblicato in Italia sia quello di Megara!!!

Dal 16 aprile escono in edicola i romanzi A Twisted Tale.
Usciranno i primi 6 volumi su un totale di 15 programmati come uscita entro il 2023.

Ecco quelli che usciranno:

1) C’era una Volta un Sogno. E se Aurora non si fosse mai svegliata? Cosa sarebbe accaduto se il bacio del principe Filippo non avesse spezzato l’incantesimo?
2) Ciò che un Giorno Era Mio. E se la regina avesse bevuto la pozione sbagliata come sarebbe andat per Rapunzel?
3) Riflessi. E se Mulan dovesse viaggiare nel regno degli spiriti per salvare la vita del Comandante Li Shang?
4) Un Mondo Nuovo. E se Aladdin non avesse tenuto la lampada cosa ne sarebbe stato di Jasmine e della città di Agrabah?
5) Parte del Tuo Mondo. Come sarebbero andate le cose se Ariel non avesse sconfitto Ursula?
6) Gelo nel Cuore. E se Elsa e Anna avessero perduto il proprio passato?


Tra quelli pubblicati in Italia mancano ancora "Specchio Specchio" (su Biancaneve) e "E' questo amore?" (su Cenerentola) che pensiamo siano quelli successivi e arriviamo a otto volumi.

Mancano poi, tra quelli americani già pubblicati, i libri dedicati a Belle, Wendy, Alice e Megara (tutti ancora inediti in Italia ma che crediamo siano di presto pubblicati) nonché i prossimi due dedicati alla Fata Azzurra e a Tiana (che usciranno entro l'anno).
Così arriviamo a 14.
Il quindicesimo non sappiamo ancora a chi sia dedicato... a Pocahontas? Esmeralda? Kida? Vaiana? vedremo...

Ragazzi io che ho letto il libro posso dirvi che si,nel regno di Eric pregano gli dei romani.
Penso che non abbiano voluto fare una trasposizione dettagliata dell'Italia di quel tempo,ma che abbiano creato un regno immaginario che prende ispirazione dall'Italia.
Anche perché la maggior parte dei regni menzionati non esistono.
Tipo viene detto che grimsby viene da un regno chiamato bretland, ovviamente è un omaggio alla Gran Bretagna,anche perché questo regno è famoso per il suo thè

Non vorrei rovinare il libro a chi deve ancora leggerlo,anche se su Atlantica ci vengono date meno informazioni in confronto al regno di Eric.
Quelle che ci vengono date sono simili a quelle che dava Andersen sulla società marina, cioè possono vivere una vita lunghissima,ma è come se fosse vuota ed estranea ai sapori ed emozioni terrestri.
Viene detto anche che loro discendono tutti dal dio romano Nettuno, infatti sono mezze divinità.

Comunque secondo me è vero che questi libri prendono ispirazione dai luoghi in cui è ambientato il film.
Dalla sinossi già il nome del paese(pariva) e quello delle due fate(chiara e ilaria) lasciati in italiano,ci danno appunto un indizio sul contesto del romanzo.
Anche qui ,come nella sirenetta,viene citata l'opera.
Anche dalla sinossi del libro di Cenerentola, già il nome del regno aurelais e quello della cattiva Genevieve,sono praticamente francesi.
Sono curioso a questo punto di leggere quelli su Aurora e Rapunzel,per cercare di scorgere l'ambientazione

Dopo i romanzi dedicati a Tiana e alla Fata Azzurra usciti nel 2022, nel 2023 esce il romanzo dedicato a Artù de La Spada nella Roccia.

Si intitola "Set In Stone" ed è scritto dalla nuova autrice della collezione, Mari Mancusi. L'uscita è per il 31 marzo 2023
